In Romeos press he talked about Baldwin still trying to find his roll on the offense, but he will get there. I think it's slow development.

He seems to do well in practice from all the reports but come game day he struggles. I think he will come around we need him to step up sooner than later.

Well when Flowers and Lewis come back, line up a couple of the scrub DB's across from him and give him practice beating the jam. If someone gets injured it won't really hurt the team since those players aren't contributing any way. The risk would be worth it to get him contributing. I think his potential is off the chart.

How many times was Bowe targeted today?

Breaston?

Most of Cassel's passes were directed to McCluster and Moeaki.

I'd bet that Bowe and Breaston were targeted less than 10 times combned.

Molitoth

Baldwin could be out there open every time... that doesn't mean that Cassel is going to see him and throw him the ball.
If Baldwin was running checkdown routes, you would see him get the ball every other play.

pffft. We may have to face the reallity that this team is going to suck yet again. We fired Carl Peterson after 20 years hope we don't have to endure suckledge that long for another change.

On Moeaki's first catch the radio mentioned Bowe broke wide open on a fly pattern before Cassel threw the ball. The replay actually showed it happening.

Something I spoke about and got a lot of shit for.

The knock on Baldwin is that in all his time at Pitt, he never showed any visible improvement on his routes. The knock on him is that he's a workout warrior. He works incredibly hard on conditioning and staying in shape, but his on-field work ethic is questionable, and there are question marks around how coachable he is.

I think the part that bums people out the most is that it could have been Andy Dalton. Not that Dalton is a proven QBOTF, but he's at least a QB plan B we don't have.

There are nuances in both of their douchebaggery.

McCluster celebrates every catch over 5 yards as if he's a badass.

Exactly.

Jon Baldwin couldn't catch a cold soaking wet in his underwear.

Jon Baldwin trips over his own feet getting off the line...

Man, if only we had a coach that specialized in getting the most out of hard-headed, physically talented but chronically underacheiving WRs. Too bad we don't have a guy like that...

I can't recall Jon Baldwin making a catch for more than 10 yards this year in any game other than the Carolina game...

Last year, the only catch I remember him making was the TD in the Chargers game (happened right in front of me.)
