At the end of week two, 20 out of 32 teams will have records of 1-1, 6 will have records of 2-0 and 6 will have records of 0-2. This is not far from the distribution you would expect if every game were decided by a coin toss.

In all seriousness, when will KC be most likely eliminated from playoff contention?

Even better, if San Fran wins tonight... the NFC West will be the best division in football through 2 weeks.

Umm, isn't this pretty much the case every season though through 2 weeks...

You're just worried because both KC & OAK are only 2 wins from leading the NFL.

Last week at the end of the 3rd quarter.

you think some team will just take a coin flip game of chance instead of actually playing against the Chiefs?

Smallest number of 2-0 teams (and most number of 1-1 teams) in 10 years.

Teams 2-0 after week 2:

2012 6
2011 7
2010 8
2009 9
2008 10
2007 10
2006 11
2005 7
2004 7
2003 8

It'll be interesting to see if this is one of those wide open regular seasons. Lately there's bit a slight pattern of having a season with 3-4 great teams, then a bit more of a wide open year, then a year with 3-4 great teams, then a more wide open regular season. Like how after the Patriots went 16-0, the next year was wide open and the Kerry Collins' Titans had the best record.

Also, the Falcons play the Chargers next week. And the Eagles play the Cardinals. So two more undefeated teams will go down. Houston plays at Denver and San Fran goes to Minnesota... both tough games.
