NO WAY will KC be moved from the AFCW!!! Same goes for Denver, Oakland and San Diego. The rivalries are too intense and have a long history. The owners would never, EVER go for it.

Let us play the brownies and bungles 2 times a year. I could also see them on tv more also... yeah... http://63.249.247.210/ubb/wink.gif

The owners don't care about rivalries.

Does anyone have a clue what the criteria are for this realignment? Obviously long, long standing rivalries don't matter.

I agree with bkkcoh on this one.

I'd LOVE to see the Browns, Bengals, and Steelers on the schedule every year!!

That's much better than the Seahawks and Chargers, IMO.

I heard that they were thinking about going by physical location though. That would most likely put us in the central division, along with Denver. However Seattle, Raiders, and Chargers would most likely still retain the West. BLAH! If this is the case... we had better sweep the Raiders next year. I don't want to leave with THAT bad taste in my mouth.

The way I've heard it on radio and over the net is that the owners want geographically correct divisions. Having Carolina in the NFC West makes it difficult for teams to travel back and forth, it's expensive, etc. I think some owners will fight for rivalries to remain (i.e. Chiefs/ Raiders, Bears/Packers, etc.) but they are willing to sacrifice some to make it work.

I would love to play Cinci twice . . . as long as we fix our defense. I'd hate to be the Broncos East and get burned for 270 some odd yards.

I wouldn't be totally opposed if the result was a fair and accurate realignment of the entire NFL. New rivalries can always develop. But I really don't see this happening...

Another interesting tidbit - The Commissioner's office holds 4 votes in the re-alignment process: Baltimore, St. Louis, Tennessee, and Houston, due to their relocation agreements.

I don't think you guys should tease Joe Seahawk like this, getting his hopes up for staying in the AFC West is just plain mean.

Buchanan has a better chance of winning Florida then the AFC West does of losing the Chiefs.
