Why do so many helmets come off in the NFL?

Because they wear them lose so they are comfortable. There has been some discussion about that recently.

They need to do something about that but the NFLPA would step in and intervene then bitch about player safety later on some dumb topic like replacement refs.

In my opinion, Cam Newton is one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Future Vince Young.

Based on what happened last week, it was amazing to watch Cam sulking on the bench with a Gatorade towel over his head after throwing three interceptions in a loss to the Giants. Add to that, Steve Smith was seen screaming at him on the sidelines.

The bigger joke is when Cam did his Super Man celebration after he scored a touchdown to make it 23-6. What an embarrassment!

More frightening still, was his gloomy behavior during his post-game press conference - He's a total head case.

Look at this play. Cam trying to steal the ball back from his running back ... Running the option read offense got old fast.

Yeah, having the best season in NFL history by a rookie QB is really Vince Young like :doh!:

His gimmick plays? are you looking at fantasy stats ???? LOL This cutesy college option offense gets beat into the ground when you play good defenses. Unless he changes his scheme - he's going to get injured. Who did the Panthers play last season? I know, do you?

He's a head case. During the off-season he said he would be a better leader and there would be no more bad body language, or sulking under a towel over his head on the sidelines... The question is does Cam have the ability to grow? Cam's mental approach are reportedly being called into question within his own organization.

He isn't endearing himself to his teammates since they ripped him last season. Would you want this type of quarterback to lead your team?

Usually we see eye to eye....but not this time. He had a bad game, but that Giant pass rush can do that sometimes. We'll see how he bounces back.

When defeated, Cam's got to learn how to face adversity. More than than, PGM, he's got to learn how to run a real offense. In my opinion, Josh Freeman will mature into a better quarterback than Newton.

He was held to 6 yards rushing, 37 off his career average, and was intercepted three times. His rushing lanes were closed off and many of his passes were hurried or off-balance.

Newton’s exasperation was evident throughout much of the game. Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul admitted that Newton looked “flustered,” which was echoed by fellow end Justin Tuck.

“Oh yeah, he was frustrated,” said Tuck. “It’s a big-time game … and everybody is watching. We had people in his face and we hit him a few times. Obviously, it would be frustrating.”

He's 29.

He's still going to take a couple of years to be ready to lead a team to the SB, if he is that kind of QB.

In the nearly 50 years of the SB era, only 5 or 6 SBs have been won by QBs over the age of 34.

The Panthers were running the read option on every play against the Giants. Pass & run. The Giants didn't fall for it. It takes too long to develop for passing. Fast DE's shut down the passing, and the front seven or LBs shut down the run. It works well in college - j/m/o.

Look I'm 100% all in on getting a franchise QB, but just drafting any QB in the 1st round doesn't make him a stud. It can't be just anybody, and at no point in the draft last year, was I lusting for Weeden.
