Avoid MSNBC, Fox News, and even CNN.

If you read political blogs, avoid them for a day. (Edit: That includes Drudge, pete...)

Avoid all commentators. They tell you what you think, and you will barge into DC threads simply repeating what some fat asshole with an agenda said.

Think for yourselves.

That is all.

But think how many liberals were watching C-Span or PBS specifically because of the conservative bias they perceived in other news outlets, especially in 2004 before MSNBC became the biased cesspool that it is today.

It's gotten to be such a huge topic that it will almost be awkward to try it. Everyone will know "Okay, that's what you practiced. You didn't make that up." Maybe he should abandon the zingers.

They both want war

They both want govt to increase in size (sorry...Romney is for big govt just like GWB was)

They both are in bed w/ Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan etc

They both will never audit the Federal Reserve

They both are in favor for socialized govt ran healthcare

It doesn't matter if you vote Obama or Romney.....they're one of the same, cut from the same cloth. The rhetoric is just different. Look at 2008.....people vote for Obama because people were so fed up w/ Bush and the republican party, it really didn't matter who ran as the republican nominee because they had no shot at winning. It was pretty much "Vote for anyone who isn't associated w/ Bush or the republican party." This year people are so fed up w/ Obama they will vote for Romney because "he's not Obama". And this shit is going to go back and forth. Romney was already pre-selected in 2008 to run for POTUS this year.

It's a giant fixed game. Nothing but a fake dog n pony show. None of these crooks give 2 shits about what's best for the country. Until people realize that, there's no hope at all for this country. We will fall.

I would just LOOOOVE to see a presidential debate between Ron Paul and Obama. That would be epic, and Paul would put a ****ing clown suit on Obama.

Paul is terrible in debates. Didn't you watch any of the primary debates? He is either nonexistent or he spends most of his time touting the (to the general public) unpalatable aspects of his ideology, and he always comes across as whiny and uninspiring.

Everyone got a turn as front runner last time around, except him. A big reason for that was because his poor debate performances keep him from getting traction with average voters who know little about him.

Change that to Rand Paul and I can't really argue with a thing.

I like Ron. I think he would be much much better for the country as POTUS than either Romney or Obama, But public speaking is not what Ron Paul does well.

Most people go with Style over substance and Obama would murder Paul in style points.

No, scratch that, Obama sounded bad too. Next time, don't watch the debate or listen to it, just read a cleaned up transcript provided by the Obama campaign. Yeah, that's what you need to do.

So if you listen to a commentator that means you can't make up your own mind? Well all you Rachel Madcow fanboys are mindless dolts then. w/e

I personally watched on NBC so I could giggle at Todd and Gregory squirming and flashing their lame ass tweets at the end of the night. Can't stand the talking heads on Fox News...they are beyond absurd as are the ones on MSNBC. It's like they live in an alternate reality...the both of them. It was mixed company, lots of Romney supporters with a handful of Gary Johnson-ites.

I'd say it was an Obama/Romney/Johnson fan ratio of 55/40/5.

No I think its pretty clear his agenda is to get people to think the way he does...

I watched it at a public Democratic watch party. Mayor, city councilmen, congressmen etc. There were people publically yelling at the screen, wake up, call him on that, thats a lie call him out etc.

People were not happy. It was clear to everyone he was getting his ass handed to him.

Honestly it just reminded me of the 2004 debates where Kerry beat Bush's brains in at the first debate. Something about that first debate as an incumbent catches Presidents off guard.

Romney wasn't simply great (although he was), Obama just didn't look like himself. He looked flustered and reactive, when he's always been stoic and sticks to his guns.

Add in the complete tonal change from Romney and it was just a very odd debate.

But it made for a fantastic party.
