The first one was ok, obviously a little dated with bell bottoms and perms.
The second one was absolute garbage. I know it was supposed to be "Carrie part 2" but it was just terrible. Oh, and the chick they used was homely as all hell.

Just watched The Loved Ones. It's a "prom night horror" film. Like Psycho meets Carrie, meets Texas chainsaw massacre down-under. Anyways its got a 97% on rottentomatos, so if you like horror its a must see.

However, this does look interesting. I certainly prefer this Carrie to Sissie Spacek, who is ragingly unattractive.
