It's a sad, sad day when I'm jealous how the Browns organization is run.

Draft QBs? They miss but at least they believe in trying.

GM stinking up the joint? No need to wait. Get rid of him. Give the new guy more time to assemble staff & scout talent.

Seems to make sense.

New regimes usually lead to a new quarterback...especially when the current qb is a 29 year old rookie.

We must outsuck the Browns. Weeden is done there.

I believe Bugeater has already started the Brown's bandwagon. Let us all look to him for leadership as we begin to cheer for the Cleveland Browns to win many games.

Pioli won't get fired this year.

He is doing 2 radio spots TM and is also doing a bit for the star.

If be were getting fired, that wouldn't be the case.

I been listening to Soren since he went live this morning and he hasn't mentioned the Piholi interview coming up not even once.

If this rumor Clark handed Pioli a poison contract this season is true, it would not surprise me if Piholi is canned today.

He's doing all these interviews as a defense mechanism. It's not at all a sign of his job status, one way or the other.

I don't think Pioli is gone yet. You'll need a few more embarrassing home losses for him to be fired during the season.

Look for the Browns to make the playoffs in a couple years.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Clark is waiting until the end of the season to do it.....but if we continually get blown out.....then he'll pull the trigger earlier if need be.

The fact that he not only still has a job in the NFL and is replacing someone is sad. Banner will ruin the Browns like he did the Eagles. The entire city of Philly hated him. He was their Pioli for years

Would you prefer an organization that doesn't value the QB position & get rid of trash GMs? Oh wait. We have that.

Don't misinterpret what I am saying. It's not like they're the model franchise. That's not what I'm saying.

I'm saying in theory, those two issues I listed in my original post I can understand.

I highly doubt the Browns are drafting a QB this year. Weeden has played well. A lot better than I expected to be honest.

Next year? Maybe, but they need to see what they have in him.

With a new GM comes a new direction. The way I see it, they will try to pull off a trade like St. Louis did for a boatload of picks. If it doesn't go through, they pick up a QB as an option in case Weeden doesn't pan out.

It'd be hard to pass on Geno Smith even with Weeden. But I wouldn't be surprised if they took a WR for Weeden to throw to and then grab a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Y'know, I think I agree with this - unless they're at #1 overall.

If they're at #1 overall, they'd be wise to trade Weeden for a 3rd rounder and just take Geno. He's clearly the better option long-term.

Holmgren is obviously getting fired because of RG3 and Tannehill.

Holmgren is being fired for multiple mistakes but his 10-28 record doesn't help much, either. With new ownership comes new leadership. Once Haslam bought the team, this move was expected.

If the Browns end up with the #1 overall pick over the Chiefs (unlikely, IMO), I believe that they'll trade for picks. That franchise is absolutely desperate for talent and they gave up their 2013 second rounder already for Josh Gordon in last summer's supplemental draft.

Dumb move after dumb move is what cost Holmgren his job.

I had it backwards. I thought Banner was from Pitt and Haslam was from Philly. So they will likely stay with their 4-3.
