Yep; even as shitty as Snatchez has been, he's STILL the starter for the Jets.

SANCHEZ/DCS = BOOBY PRIZE

CASSHOLE/KING/DOOMY3 = BAG O' FUCKDICKS!

Pretty much. If we had Sanchez we'd be in the same situation we are now. Trying to figure out who we were gonna draft to replace him.

This might be the case no matter whom we draft this spring, be it Barkley, Smith, or someone else.

Wow, you are truly a fucking idiot.

I should have never let you back on the board when you lost the only bet that we ever made.

I never even claimed that Cassel was any good. Just that he would put up better numbers in that one season than Sanchez, because Sanchez is terrible.

They are both terrible, and you are about the only person left who can't understand this simple concept.

And furthermore, just because Rex Ryan is too proud to bench Sanchez doesn't mean anything. Cassel sucks the same amount whether Romeo decided to finally bench him or if he would have kept trotting his sorry ass out there.

The fact that Romeo finally yanked him and Rex hasn't yanked Sanchez yet isn't any kind of a barometer.

Go be a Jets' fan, you worthless douchebag.

Yes, but at least a precedent would have been set, i.e., a first rounder drafted in an attempt to secure a franchise QB.

Four years later and we're still waiting for that to happen.

Check that.

29 years.

My take on this is a little different than most here.

I'm ALL FOR taking a QB in the first round. However, doing so doesn't come without the most major of risks. If you take a guy and he's a Jamarcus Russell or a David Carr or a Mark Sanchez, you can set your team back years and years. Then you draft another guy........and it possibly happens again. What I'm saying is, we could have been drafting first round QB's all this time, and be in the exact same boat.

On the flip side, it's fucking hard to get my head around the fact that we haven't drafted a first round QB in 29 fucking years.

That's like getting the clap when you lose your virginity then swearing off pussy forever. It makes no sense.

IMO, that's not really true anymore with the new rookie salary structure. Look at the Jaguars and Blaine Gabbert. They whiffed on him, but unless there's some enormous turn-around, they're going to be in a position to draft a new guy this year. Whether or not they actually do is up to them, but they're certainly capable of it.

Pretty bad when Tebow is the backup QB. He is the worst QB in the league. Or Sanchez would of been benched by now.

Now this is true. I guess I'm still thinking with the old cap structure in mind.

Taking a QB first round used to could really cripple your franchise for a long time if he did not pan out because you were handcuffed to him because of money.

I mean look at Alex Smith. He still sucks (I can't believe people think he doesn't) but he's still there playing game manager for a great defense because of the money invested in him.

You're still left with the issue of how long do you let a guy play to develop, and when do you bench him or draft a new guy. That is still an issue.

And just as an I told you so to all the people that argued with me for 2 years about Snatchez.......he fucking blows and I told you so. He's been the reason that team never reached the SB.

Except there would be a chance of Sanchez starting next year.

For that reason alone Cassel > Sanchez.

No there wouldn't. It'd be clear and evident that Snatchez isn't the guy and we'd be talking about how we don't have a chance at a high draft pick because he'd just be good enough for 5 wins.

And he'll be the handicap on that team. What part about that don't you get?

Cassel was starting this season. Being a starter doesn't mean he's REALLY the guy. It just means he's all you have to go with at that time, sometimes. They would upgrade from Sanchez if they could. The issue is, the team around him is too good. But he's the thing holding that team back from getting to a SB.

Drafting Sanchez would have been a fail.....just like I said it would have been.

I guess if you're in prison it's infinitely better to get raped by 3 guys than 7 guys, but at the end of the day your life still sucks and you know there's probably something better out there.

That's pretty much your whole Sanchez >>>>> Cassel bullshit.

Neither guy is worth a dog shit. If Sanchez is slightly less stank dogshit than Cassel, I can buy that. But he's still dogshit and wasn't the answer.

I'm saying that in the long run, Cassel was better for us than Sanchez. Cassel is gone at the end of this year. Who knows how long we'd have to suffer with Sanchez. There's a good chance we pick a QB in the first round in April. That likely wouldn't be happening if we had picked Sanchez in 2009.

Really no biggie with the rookie salary cap. I'm on record saying we should draft a QB in 1st round every other year. Look at the situation in Jax. Gabbert will be replaced by another 1st rounder in only 3 yrs.

Cassel may not end up being "best for us" if we don't draft a QB. If we trade for another team's QB, again, what was the point in the suffering?

Sweet Daddy Hate

Let me make this clear:

If we don't draft our own QB, I will absolutely hate on and hex the merry happy FUCK out of whomever Pioli feels is "safe".

There will be no victory, and we will repeat this process ALL...OVER...AGAIN.
