Didn't DTV come down on the price this year ?

I haven't paid any attention to this yet, I got my bill out today and looked, it says 6 x 49.99. Is this right ? $ 300.00 ?

ya, once my contract is up I plan on getting me some deals. But it makes it harder to stand your ground when you are looking at a big cancellation fee.

Who cares about a cancelation fee?

18 bucks a month for whatever is left on your contract is probably less than a competing company giving you 30-35 off per month (Over the next year) as a new customer.

Do the math. Let's say you have a year left...That's 216 bucks...switching to dish gives you 31 dollars off per month for the first year and that breaks down to 372 dollars.

If you aren't happy with your service provider, make a switch to one you will be happy with.

Shit pisses me off... Look at my sig, that's my bandwidth on this fiber optic line, I have it hardwired to the router, not using the wireless shit and it still freezes and then when it isn't freezing the picture quality is shit....

They didn't even have me sing a new contract. I've got a shitload of discounts and Sunday Ticket and I'm still contract free.

A while back we installed 2 new HD TV's & they wanted $344 for everything.

As a long time customer, since July '97, I worked Retention over. Got the Ticket for free & all the work for free. Also got a $10 credit for 2 years.

It's a good thing it's FREE this year cause I'd have a hard time paying any $$ to watch this team.

New customer - free. Got upgraded to Sunday Ticket Max or Plus during the viacom fiasco.

Yes it dropped.

300 should have given you Sunday Ticket plus all games on your computer and mobile device.

Mine was 179. Renewal rate and no online access

rt mike is correct. I am not sure if I will watch live tomorrow. May record it and watch at night

Keep fighting. I've been under a contract for most of my years with DTV, and I always threaten to leave. Having their numbers go down is far worse for them than having to shell out some comps.

Indeed. I feel I am not ruthless enough. I always end up settling for a decent discount but never make it to the epic "free" that some of you are able to manage.

This year it was free. Last year it cost me $35.

One time payment of $96 as I got it free last year for threatening to leave. 2 Years ago I paid a little over $300 IIRC.

Free.

They had already billed me for the renewal.......but then I moved a few weeks before the season started - and called them and told them how they're website/commercials advertised sunday ticket for free for movers.

So I got it for free.

Lost the red zone channel though....but given that I got whole-house DVR, two additional HD boxes for the new home AND free sunday ticket.....I actually thought I would feel guilty asking for red zone too! :)

That all said....in this season of the chiefs suck......I think I'd rather have the red zone channel.

zero dollars, zero cents. Unlike previous years where i have gotten it free, i didnt even ask for it this time. I just called and said hey I want to order red zone channel. Long story short, it all comes as the package, i ended up with free direct ticket, 30 off my bill for the next 6 months, free movie channels for 6 months.

Directv is SO easy to talk into free shit.

$108 For the Max package which is going to come in handy since I go into the hospital tomorrow for a week.

Well worth it IMO. It would have been a much better deal had the Chiefs been 5-1 at this point rather than 1-5 however.

I called and complained and they gave me 3 years free, $50 of my regular bill, they bought me a house on the beach in Malibu, a brand new Rolls Royce and a 30 day cruise to the carribean. Then I told them the only reason I even wanted it was to watch my beloved Chiefs and some Indian guy who I could hardly understand called me a fuckin loser and suggested I switch to Dish.

I did get it down a little. I called them and got the red zone channel for free and the Sunday ticket reduced just a little bit. :/
