Is the Supreme Court going to be the biggest win for the Dems from this election?

By the end of Obama's 2nd term Scalia will hit 79, Kennedy will be 79, Ginsburg will be 82 and Breyer will be 77.

Who retires and who stays?

None of it will matter once Hilary wins in 2016.

Scalia stays. The others are replaced. No change on the court.

If Romney had won, Ginsburg would have shifted.

edit: Kennedy is a mild change on very few issues like Election reform, maybe aff. action.

Depends on who decides to hang on for four more years to prevent a commie takeover of the court.

Ginsburg will just be replaced with another lefty. Breyer a cautious liberal may or may not go but is no big deal either. It's the other two we need to worry about.

I think Scalia and Kennedy will hold out. I'm more concerned about Kennedy than Scalia.

I'm pretty sure, now that a Democrat has been elected, that Scalia will have left careful instructions, in the event of his death, for an impostor to try to impersonate him until the next election which hopefully will go Republican (from his pov)....

I'd like to see another moderate on the court.

We should put a flaming liberal on the court to balance out Scailia and Thomas. But seriously, I thought it was accepted dogma that Ginsberg was gone for sure no matter who won POTUS?

I thought she'd be gone 10 years ago. Tough old stew chicken.

Ginsburg will retire for sure.
The only way Scalia is leaving in the next 4 years is in a body bag. He'll be 87 or so at the end of Hillary's second term.

I think Ginsberg and Breyer are goners. Scalia will stick it out.

Kennedy, of course, is the wild card.
