I already said their resume would be improved. I was asking about their current ranking.

Please answer my question about where you think Notre Dame would be ranked if they had a 28 point loss on their resume.

Are you really trying to pretend that Notre Dame doesn't get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rankings? No team is as consistently overrated as the Irish.

Wolf is now more of a homer than Pestilence. I can't believe after all these years of being humbled by terrible teams fielded by the Irish that now he's gone stupid. Act like you've been there. I know it's been a while but dang. Your defense is shit compared to a top ranked SEC defense. You almost let Pittsburgh beat you in your own house. They were up well into the 4th quarter after imposing their will on that stout ND defense. Negro please.

How's their offense? Think they'll move the ball against a defense as good as their own? Think those overrated SEC teams have seen a defense or 3 as good as the Irish?

ND is going to do what they always do when they make the BCS....I think your D is up to it, but your offense is nowhere near.

As for UGA they started the season in the top 10, only lost one game, and should they beat Bama they'd have 2 neutral site wins over current top 4 BCS teams. Pathetic I know. Maybe ranking them 18 or so would be about right...

LMAO SEC plays the best defense in the country hands down.

It depends upon where the loss occurred. If it was to an unranked team they'd be down Florida St & Clemson around #10. If it was to a top-10 opponent they'd probably be ahead of K-State at #6.

So Georgia has a loss to a top 10 opponent with a weaker schedule than the Irish and they get ranked 3rd. The Irish lose to a top 10 opponent with a stronger SOS than Georgia they would be 6th. Gotcha.

Seriously. This dude should be whining about something that actually matters. The Georgia situation will work itself out - either they'll lose to Bama and drop or they'll beat Bama and be worthy of their ranking. JFC of all things to cry about he picks one that doesn't matter.

There is no damn way SC schedule is weaker than ND's cupcake gauntlet with UF, LSU, GA, Clemson, and Vandy as their opponents. I throw in Vandy because they could and would stomp Pitt, BYU, and Purdue to whom you only won by 3 all at home. Think before you hit that post reply button because right now you're trolling.

Man shut the fuck up. I was talking about Georgia's schedule being weaker than ND's. That is a fact. Also, statements like the Irish's defense doesn't compare to any of the top defenses in the SEC proves what a dumb fuck you are.

For everyone else, my issue with Georgia being ranked so high is that they should have to jump a few teams to be in the NC game with the horrible loss on their schedule. If they beat Alabama, unless it is a game settled on a horrible call or something weird like that then yes their credentials will say they deserve their ranking. Right now they aren't ranked where they deserve to be.

I'm not whining about the situation. I simply asked the question of why are they rankes number 3. Nobody has given me a good answer. You yourself have stated that their schedule has been incredibly soft. The way things have shaken out with other teams losing it won't matter, but if things were different and say Oregon had won and Georgia was ranked 4 then if Alabama would beat Georgia they would get credit for beating the number 4 team in the country and could have possible jumped a team they shouldn't have.

I agree the way things are this will all shake out the way it should. I was simply wanting someone (especially an SEC fan to answer my question "Why is Georrgia ranked number 3?")

Notre Dame reminds me of OSU in 2002. Winning a lot of close games, playing in a National Championship that every tells them they don't deserve to play in and then winning the whole thing. I'm not a Domer fan, but to watch SEC fans jerk each other off every chance they get makes me want to puke. They are all best friends (SEC SEC SEC) until one of them drags their balls across anothers face or poisons their trees. Lamest fans around.

The answer is because they lost early in the season, didn't lose again, and then beat the (then) #2 team in the country. FSU & Clemson have stayed lower because the only ranked team each has played is each other. K-State & Oregon are recent losses and UGA beat Florida head-to-head.

If a conference really wanted to get out in front of this situation, they would play all of their conference games before playing the non-cons. Then, most of the losses would be very early in the season.

What's lame are pathetic fucking losers petitioning the President to pardon and allow their team "rightful access" to the NCG despite the fact that they are ineligible due to NCAA sanctions.

If ND beats USC and makes it to the NC game against Alabama (assuming Bama wins their CC).....I at least think it'll be a good game. I'm not going to go out and state that it's going to be a blow out like a bunch of people around here. I think it will all come down to Golson and whether he can limit his mistakes. I damn sure think that ND's defense can hang with Alabama's offense.

See, this is what gets me. We were sold on the BCS bullshit because the powers that be said "it makes all the games count". That is not true. A loss early in the season doesn't count as much as a loss later in the season. It shouldn't matter when the loss happens the repercussions should be the same. The voters are too lazy to do their homework. It is simply, "well number 3 and 4 lost so I guess number 5 and 6 move up". It is lazy and it benefits the teams that schedule their tough opponents early and schedule Podunk State late in the season.

My arguments haven't been about ND and where they should be ranked or whether they have been over ranked in the past. They have absolutely been over valued based on tradition and favoratism. My arguments have been strictly about the flaws in the system and how this season it seems to benefit the SEC. Thanks for being honest about your opinions and trying to be objective.

Do you remember the 2007 football season? OSU loses to Illinois and is around 7th in the BCS. It was the perfect shit storm (teams losing) that put them in the NC game that they had no right to be in. Thankfully, a playoff will help cleanup this mess. Notre Dame, if they win all of their games, deserves to be there, as much as I hate to say it.

That lasted for a whole week. Now, it's Big 12 teams in the top 5: a big fat ZERO

SEC teams in the top 4: Three

Every other conference combined: A big fat ZERO

The SEC has more teams in the top 10 than the Big 12 has in the top 25.
