Law of averages say we are going to lead at some point this season. Will it be tonight? I don't think so. In fact, at this point I hope we don't. Poll to follow.

I know a lot has been made of this whole not leading at all during any game. But honestly its a completely stupid stat to be harping on when we havent won but one game. I mean if we had led in every game and still lost would it make the losses mean any less?
A loss is a loss, a win is a win. Leading and losing is the same as never leading and losing, we are STILL LOSING.

What do you remember about the Lions 0-16 season? The fact they went 0-16 or that they lost by more than 3 TDs seven times?
If we had led in every single game would you still be talking about being 1-7, of course you would, as would I and everyone else. This stat is moot unless it translates into wins. It would in fact mean more if we HAD led and lost games with chances of competing.
At least thats how I see it. A loss by any means is a loss. A win by aby number is still a win.

Its a shameful stat. Dont get me wrong I wish it wouldnt even have to be a topic but if all these games ended like the Saints game and we won it would be a bigger deal. Its very sad we even have to consider not leading in any game for an entire season because we are inching closer and closer

It's something that hasn't been done since 1929, and that team folded the same year. It was a dumb stat in late September or maybe even early October... but now it's a level of ineptness that hasn't been seen in over 80 years. It's not something that happens everyday.

Let me put it this way then. If we march down the field on the opening drive and score a TD. But we lose, do you get any satisfaction from the lead? Does a FG count as much of a lead to you as a TD?

It would be worthy of a Bronx cheer, I guess. Holding a lead isn't necessarily significant... not playing with a lead for almost 490 minutes is pretty noteworthy.

Hell no! I will be pissed actually! I want this team to be so inept that Clark has no option but to run his boy Scott out of town. Soon too! I want people in place to make the best hires possible for coaches and for player personal so our draft this next April is not another wasted top 5 pick.

No lead! Ass beating! Pioli gone. Then I don't care if we lead or not. It's getting late enough to know we are going to have a high draft pick. It's just how high now.

True, one loss is one loss, however what the stat points to is that Kansas City has not been able to pull ahead of any opponent, driving home the point of their utter ineptitude. Losing 31 to 28 is not getting a beatdown. Losing 31 to 6 is. Hope dies fast when the beatdowns pile up.

It will be short lived, but a lead, finally.

Did you see the stat yesterday that 20 percent of the Bears' touchdowns since 2004 have been defensive or special teams touchdowns? I thought that was pretty amazing.

Apparently the league average is about 9 percent, which is more than I would've thought. But one of every five Bears TDs for the better part of a decade has been from the D or ST? Wow.

I didn't see the stat, but its not surprising. The Bears are always near the top in takeaways. When you get that many turnovers, you're bound to get some TDs. And they made a great choice in drafting Devin Hester as their kickoff/punt returner.

Yes, we are still losing.

But this stat speaks to the complete and utter failure of the Pioli regime to not only put a winning product on the field, but to not even put a competitive product on the field.

It speaks to complete ineptitude and utter failure.

It speaks to unparalleled incompetency from the top on down.
