Thank you Matt Cassel -
You not only ensured the Chiefs would remain in contention for the first overall pick, but also simultaneously sealed a victory for both of my fantasy teams.

I would also like to give a shout-out to the referees for playing their part in ensuring a Chiefs loss with four critical terrible calls.

You can blame both. There were many questionable calls, but that does not excuse Cassel's QB rating or the game costing INT.

I will. I felt they were brilliant. Best officiated game of the season.

1 INT? I still graded perfectly, so it isn't my fault.

If this was an important game I'd be pissed. What a screwjob...Wow. But, since we needed this L, it was actually for the better.

This game was the most complete example of Cassel being the shit taster of this franchise.

He completely blew the game other than one clutch throw at the end of regulation.

I was really scared we were going to have a legit complaint against the Refs screwing us out of a win....but Cassel came through with flying colors!!!

You should consider adding this stat to the Declaration of Indep. MO:
Cassel's QB rating by victory margin:

<7: 54.3
8-14: 84.1
15+: 71.5

What does that mean? When it doesn't count, Cassel does "better" (not that 84.1 is ever GOOD, but I digress...) He's playing against teams who have essentially gone into "don't get hurt before the next game" mode when his QB rating is above 60. In close games, he is an abject failure.

Cassel has never won a close game against a playoff team.

Even with the Patriots.

That is in the Declaration.

Nope. Just a flat out Matt Cassel INT.

Fun fact:

Matt Cassel was 0-8 and was sacked once on third down. Cassel's eight third-down pass attempts without a completion are the most for any quarterback in a single game in the last five seasons.
