View Full Version : Chiefs "Chiefs fans are focusing too much on the little things"

I talked to a fairly high profile defensive starter the other day. Of course, I had to ask what was going on with the team and what the feeling was in the locker room. He said "The fans are focusing too much on the little things". I didn't pry too much more, but I thought it was a very interesting comment.

Also, Romeo was pretty pissed about the dancing thing and definitely addressed it with the team.

It's like having some computer that dies on you and when you call support you get some Indian guy who says his name is "Tom" and starts off by asking you if it's plugged in.

The average fan is more knowledgable than ever and this franchise treats us like 13 year old girls unhappy with the new Twilight movie...

Fans aren't privy to the "little things," like play-calls, what goes on in practice, game film, scouting, etc. The intricacies of what makes football teams run.

What we are privy to is the results of the little things. And that's all we're focused on. Whatever those little things are, the Chiefs aren't doing them well enough.

DaKCMan AP

should've told him that's the only thing for us to focus on since it's obvious this team will never do anything to make us focus on the big things; ...you know, like playoff wins and the Superbowl.

and it's obivious the players are spending too much time on the little things becuase they sure as fuck aren't focusing on anything that helps them win.

This is why they need strong leadership to keep them focused and driven. We don't have any of that.

and piss on rivalries - rivalries are dead for 90% of the players.

the NFL is evolving into a turd.
I watch the old games on ESPN Classic, etc, and even the TV presentation is better.
I think all these GD cameras on the field and al the angles just stirs the pot and makes these dudes turn into WWF wrestlers. Get a sack? ....celebrate like you one the super bowl. make a tackle? get up and shake your finger back and forth. Catch a 6 yard pass? get up and spin the ball on the ground.

Teams that focus on the little things win games. There are teams out there like the Cowboys that do all the big things but you know a few times in the game they are going to lose because of the little things.

Frankly I think as fans we have been focused on big picture. QB and GM. That's about as big picture as you get.

Maybe this player is under the impression we the fans are demanding improvement in the record THIS season and want the team to win more games the rest of the way. Thus, we are not focusing on the big picture, which is losing games this season and getting a QB next season and also being rid of Pioli and RAC.

Yep, completely fucking accurate statement. We are all focused on the little things. For example, that little fucking number in the wins column. Put a big number in that column and I'll quit focusing on it. I'd like to go off on your big fucking paycheck, Pissholis incompetence, Rolos ignorance, and this teams desire.......but I can't, they are to fucking big for me to give a rats ass about, I'll just go back to worrying about that little number in the wins column. :shake:
