How would you guys feel about bringing in Conner for the ILB position? Just became a cap causality for Dallas.

Does he own any guns?

This is about where I'm at. The more holes we can fill in free agency, the higher we can draft our QBOTF.

I know this is like handing over your man-card but I don't know jack $3it about the guy...

He is really unspectacular stats wise. But he may have played the Belcher role in our defense(minus the uh oh), so his stats wouldn't exactly be overwhelming.

6'2", 240-pounds out of Penn State. Played four years at Carolina before playing last season in Dallas.

75 tackles two years ago and 56 tackles this past season. Looks like he is very similar in style to Belcher or at least what they asked him to do.

I'll admit, I don't want any of that...

This would be a solid pick-up for us.

He was 3rd string in Dallas. Behind Sean Lee and some other dude that both got hurt for Connor to play. Don't think I want a 3rd stringer from another team as the starter on the Chiefs.
Isn't this one of the Panthers MLBs that got injured a lot?

Solid depth for us on the cheap.

Well I don't call 3 mil a year cheap for depth. And since the dude left Carolina because he wouldn't take a pay cut I doubt he will want to take the vet minimum type of contract.

What a dude was owed and what he can get on the market are two VERY different things.

Do you think Cassel is going to get 9mm a year too?

He was cut because Dallas KNEW they were overpaying. I doubt he even gets a Million per year in free agency.

No but put a little bit together. He left Carolina over money. He is getting cut from Dallas for money reasons. He is not going to want to take less than a certain amount either. He may and probably will have to take less. But he will have to be offered that kind of money as a whole from interested teams before he will lower his demands.
He will probably be one of the latter FA signings by whatever team.
