View Full Version : Obama While Putting the Screws to Patriots, IRSís Lois Lerner Granted Special Tax Status to

The IRS scandal is too big for someone not to take a fall. One obvious candidate is Lois Lerner:

Lerner, the senior IRS official at the center of the decision to target tea party groups for burdensome tax scrutiny, signed paperwork granting tax-exempt status to the Barack H. Obama Foundation, a shady charity headed by the presidentís half-brother that operated illegally for years.

According to the organizationís filings, Lerner approved the foundationís tax status within a month of filing, an unprecedented timeline that stands in stark contrast to conservative organizations that have been waiting for more than three years, in some cases, for approval.

Lerner also appears to have broken with the norms of tax-exemption approval by granting retroactive tax-exempt status to Malik Obamaís organization.

Malik, a hustler who belongs in prison for fraud, didnít even apply for this status for his bogus charity. He didnít have to.

Itís a natural law: the bigger government grows, the more deeply it decays into corruption. Rules are for breaking the knees of political opponents, not for applying to criminal relatives of the Campaigner in Chief.

Obama himself doesnít need to pass down orders to apparatchiks like Lerner, any more than imams in Saudi Arabia needed to tell the Tsarnaev Brothers to bomb the Boston Marathon. All he has to do is set the tone, which he accomplishes with divisive rhetoric about punishing enemies. His flying monkeys will apply this philosophy wherever they get the chance.

The IRS story is huge, this story is like a stick of dynamite the fuse has been lit and it has yet to explode.

This will strengthen conservative groups like the Tea party to grow and for people to speak out against what is going on in D.C.

There needs to be more protests over the summer against this administration and Obama, this guy needs to be impeached.

The real IRS story is "huge" or the one you have dreamed up in your mind?

So, Obama should be impeached because some people asked political social welfare groups that were named after a political organization for additional paperwork prior to when they got approved for tax-exempt status? You've set a pretty low bar for impeachment.

Barry is a scumbag, and Kozmo gladly carries his piss bucket.

What more can you possibly do or say that could be any worse than what this piece of garbage does to himself?

There has to be a paper trial, obviously, for it to get to impeachment status. I doubt that exists. I doubt a real Chicago politician of Obama's talent is that stupid. Plausible deniability and all that.

But the hypocrisy is rich. A couple years ago, Gabby Giffords gets shot and map on Sarah Palin's web site was cited as being largely responsible for the shooting. And while the Left acknowledged she didn't actually pull the trigger, they condemmed her for the creating an enviroment that incited the shooting.

Isn't that basically what's happened here? Rhetoric from Obama and his campaign painted the Tea Party and conservative groups as groups that needed to be stopped. His supporters in the IRS essentially did this. At the very minimum, he should be contrite. He doesn't even acknowledge that it should reflect poorly on him.

I lead a large group of scientists. When one of them doesn't report something correctly or behave appropriately, my boss blames me first for not training them properly or providing the correct oversight. He should. Because their actions reflect poorly on him, too.

Is it too much to ask that a president set a standard and be accountable for it?

His "supporters" in the IRS did not essentially do this since none of the groups and their applications denied. I'm not defending what they did, but it should be kept in perspective.
