Looks like the Raiders run game might be close to full strength when we play them.

Should this be cause for concern?

McFadden + Pryor = McCoy + Vick, who torched us for 260 yards on the ground.

McFadden has torched us in the past.....but if the wind blows he goes down with injury.

so you're saying this a trap game?

I'm asking a question. Not saying anything.

With only Reece to worry about, I'd give us a 31-6 win.

With McFadden back in, assuming he's healthy, I can see this win being a squeaker. Like, 21-20 territory.

DMC is in a contract year and is trying to play as much as possible. He basically has to play his a@@ off for the Raiders to have a chance to win.

McFadden's never scared me much. He was supposed to destroy Mizzou in the Cotton Bowl. Tony (freakin') Temple put up 281 to McFadden's 108. Mizzou won 38-7

I know that has nothing to do with the game this weekend, but it relates to what I think of him in general. Yeah, he's got talent. But he's made of glass, and he's sure as shit not a gamer.

Basically, I don't think he's tough enough to carry the load and beat this Chiefs D at a rockin' Arrowhead.

And Pryor? He's never faced anything like what he's about to see.

Lol why are we afraid of anybody with this defense? IDGAF who's playing on their offense, we're gonna fuck their asses.

Because this defense is susceptible to mobile QBs who can extend plays and improvise well.

You saw it in the Tennessee game. So long as Fitzpatrick could withstand the passrush's first wave, he found holes all over our defense.

Especially in the most difficult atmosphere they will play at the whole year...

Pryor looked impressive even without a running game.

But San Diego has looked terrible. No matter who they play. I think KC is going to really mix up the coverages and confuse the living shit out of Pryor. It will be like Vick and McCoy, except that Vick has plenty more experience under his belt and McFadden isn't nearly as good as McCoy.

It's nothing to be worried about. Sure Pryor will get his rushing yards. But it won't work throughout the game. Typically most mobile QB's will pick up chunks of yards against man teams. That's a negative against man coverage, but we know it and we're ok with it.

The Raiders will have more rushing yards and a higher YPC against KC than they did against DEN. Just like the Giants did. Just like the Eagles did.

When you're down by 70....you kind of have to pass the ball and abandon the run.

We'll beat them on Sunday, but I'm glad Andy Reid is taking this game seriously. They may be the Raiders, but we've been beat by bad Raiders teams in the past. This team proved that it was a different team against the Titans and Fitzpatrick, now the next test is here. Can we sweep the Raiders and not make it a close game every damn time we play them???

Bump
10-09-2013, 10:51 PM
I think our offense gets it together before the 4th quarter this time and we win by a lot. Arrowhead is going to be LOUD and PROUD!

ThaVirus
10-09-2013, 11:03 PM
It would definitely be nice to have this one wrapped up before the 4th quarter, that's for sure.

I don't believe the Raiders run the read-option, do they? Our game plan will likely be a bit different than it was for the Eagles because of that. Pryor is probably faster than anyone on our defense but despite that fact, I'm actually more worried about his ability to use that speed to extend plays and find guys open down field when the coverage has broken down.

It's tough to gauge the outcome of these divisional games and even harder so with the way this season is going. If I had to guess, I'd say Pryor beats us on a few plays with his improvisational skills but looks worse overall. I mean, he's looked great against defenses like the Chargers and Broncos, but they are literally some of the worst in the league.

ThaVirus
10-09-2013, 11:04 PM
Tamba and Houston need to focus on wrapping up properly this week as well. They should go for the safe sack any chance they get- don't even bother with that attempted strip-whiff bullshit. If this fucker looks half as slippery as Fitzpatrick did against us I'll fucking punt someone's cat.

Can't recover from a hammy that quick those things linger for a bit. Plus Reece is kinda hurt too so will see how they play well on Sunday.

Yeah, those 15-yard runs on 3rd-and-17 -- that the defense is HAPPY to give up -- don't affect YPC at all.

KC is #30 in the league in YPC allowed.

Do you even watch the fucking games? 4 of the 5 games, the opponents running game has been a complete non factor. We just held CJ .8K to like 10 yards on the road...yeah I am worried about our run D.

Against our aggresive man D there are running lanes for the QB, but I will take the tradeoff of raping opponents passing games.
