I'm going to enjoy this and want to savor every minute, but I already can't wait to see how it all shakes out.

Everyone's 0-0.

Yeah, but one of those Chargers wins was in OT against the BACKUPS of a playoff team. Should be an asterisk there...

Another one was against your starters in Arrowhead.

Who should be in the playoffs instead?

The Dolphins, who blew their chance against the Bills and Jets?

The Ravens, who blew their chance against the Cheatriots and Bengals?

The Steelers, who started out 2-6, blew it against Miami and Baltimore down the stretch, and would have needed an outrageous amount of help from other teams to get in?

And before you use the ref excuse - we got screwed over by the refs Week 1 in Houston in a game that the league had to apologize for. We win that game and it probably doesn't come down to Week 17. As far as I'm concerned, the missed calls that helped us in this game simply cancelled out the missed calls that hurt us in that one.

The Chargers won when they absolutely needed to and took advantage of other teams failing to do the same. I can understand picking against the Chargers, I can understand being pissed about how you lost (trust me, Charger fans know all about how shitty a missed field goal can be), but saying we shouldn't be in the playoffs and don't deserve it is just dumb.

Definitely should be an asterisk. Chargers should be *5-2, or 3-2 against playoff teams. *2 of those games were against the chiefs.

Yea that bites we had kendick lewis on our team and still won 11 games how did we pull that circus act off.

All in all we got a good look at the depth of the team in a playoff type game.

And exposed the coaching staff on who could be playing and making us a better team.

We will see if the resting players pans out next week.

Most importantly, we got a good look at Ryan Succop and it does not bode well for the playoffs...

Its not dumb, its accurate. Whats dumb is how they got there. The Chargers would have been the last team to "blow" it yesterday had they not been the benefactor of many gifts by both the Chiefs and the officials. Why do you feel the need to justify it if you don't feel the same way in the back of your mind? We all saw the game and know what happened.

And regarding your game against Houston, you lost a 20 point 4th quarter lead. Any time you do that, you deserve to lose.

The bad news is those 3 teams are in the playoffs.

all this butt hurt by chiefs fans about the chargers making it to the playoffs. bottom line is the chargers swept the chiefs, regardless of how. all this woulda coulda shoulda....

shut the hell up with that. chargers won, chiefs lost. let the bengals determine their fate.

Stupid thread is stupid.

Yep...

But, since it's out there and Buck is trying to bolster the case for SD being a threat, I'll play along.

In this stretch, Denver has averaged 32 PPG while surrendering 26 PPG. Ugly.

Manning has just over 2,200 yds, 21 TDs and 5 INTs in these 7 games.

Three losses ... 7 to SD, 6 to IND and 3 to NE (OT).

If I had the time, I'd look at the PPG averages (for and against) for KC and SD...

Chargers deserved it more than the Dolphins or Ravens. They absolutely got lucky, but i do think they are a better team than Ravens/Dolphins.

It doesn't even really seem veiled to me. It's hard to believe you would have posted this if it didn't cast the Chargers in a good light. Did you post this last year?

That said, I don't have any problem with you posting it. It's interesting.

It's no big deal, but had SD failed to advance... you wouldn't have typed this up, it would have been another "I hate this team, I'm drunk... hope the Chiefs go all the way, blah blah blah, hate the Donk (burp), blah, blah, blah".

I know they lost to the Bengals and 49ers with Rodgers starting.

I believe they also lost to the Eagles, but that was while Rodgers was out.

So what conclusions have you come to? Do Chiefs being 1-5 and Bengals being 4-0 vs playoff teams come into play here at all? Curious what the marijuana says. Might make more sense than the talking heads on espn, who knows? :thumb:
