Be happy with Mack.

1. Clowney
2. Mack
3. Robinson
4. Watkins
5. Donald

Those were the truly premier talents in this draft, IMO, and you got one of them. Be happy.

You can keep it. Just the fact that you acknowledged it is good enough for me... I knew the odds were stacked heavily in my favor and said so at the time. On the surface it looks like you were almost right but the fact is he was picked with 10 picks still left in round 1. You were "closer" than I thought, but JM was never going in round 2. All that happened was teams didnt reach for a QB early. As the draft got closer, I figured it would go down as it did and he'd go somewhere in the 20's. I thought #20 to Zona or #26 to Cleveland. When Cleveland traded up, one pick ahead of KC, I new he was gone.

In any case, no biggie and no need for me to collect anything. It was just a friendly wager that I happen to be right this time.

You people are honest to god FUCKING pathetic. We don't need an overall olb, we already have 2 of those; Dee Ford has better moves and is quicker and stronger than Khalil Mack. I know you utter tools are prisoners of the moment but lets use a little logic, Dee has better college tape against better competition, Dee has proven to be big time stepping his game up when AU needed him most, he was the MVP of that D. Then you add the combo of Senior Bowl production mixed with a feeling of under appreciation, then he goes here....Dee Ford will be 3 times the pro Khalil Mack is, and I remember a certain Aaron Curry who had it all once too.....So Marcel Dareus was drafted higher wasn't he better than JJ Watt? What about Von and Aldon? Peterson Sherman? draft order means NOTHING

Draft Order? Khalil Mack has all of the speed and better power than Dee Ford. Mack also plays with great technique for a college player. I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen of both prospects, not draft order. Ford was my 4th ranked OLB prospect behind:

1. Mack
2. Barr
3. Attaochu
4. Ford
5. Lawrence

Mack had 100 tackles last year while being the only pro-level player on his defense and the only player that teams game-planned for when they played against Buffalo. Mack can also cover in zone.

Ford hasn't had 100 tackles in his entire career at Auburn. While he's a nice pass rusher, he is a complete liability in pass coverage at this point of his career.

I like Ford as a prospect and I like him on our team, but don't be an idiot and say that Ford will be 3 times better than Mack. There's a reason why Mack was seen as a top 5 pick and Ford was considered a late 1st to 2nd round pick.

I agree with this sentiment. I could see him playing about 40% of our defensive snaps if Hali remains at OLB, he'll play close to 80% if Hali is moved to DE.

I can see about 9 sacks in his rookie season.

I see us using him like SF used Aldon Smith. I'm gonna say 7 sacks.

And I really love his speed to hunt down mobile QB's. His 4.5 speed owned Johnny Football.

He can work on his strength, pass overage and run support.

Not that I disagree with your rankings but I think this is an over-simplified view.

Sometimes being surrounded by superior talent lessens a guy's impact on the game.

I would argue that one of the reasons Mack and Attaochu had the gawdy tackle stats was because there wasn't nearly as much around them.

As always, there's several facets that figure in. College production is my #1 criteria but it's not the only criteria.

Considering where the two teams drafted it is a rather silly question. Just about everyone had Mack in the top three players available and some ranked him as the best available in the draft. For him to drop and be there at 5 was very cool. I think Ford is a very solid value at the slot the Chiefs took him. Draft picks always look like all pros after we have been force fed highlights of them. Who knows three years from now both may be after thoughts with players undrafted or drafted much later turning out better~

Seattle beat the hell out of Peyton by cutting of his quick pass receiver routes and then when they did catch it, they pounded their asses into the dirt hard...

This got their WR's scared, fucked up their timing and pretty much hung Peytons ass out to dry...

The teams that cut these routes off and gets Peyton moving those big happy feet will beat the Donks...
