He could've started Gore and gone all Bob Boone on us. Dyson/Gore/Orlando at the top of the order.

If I hit my head in 2005 and was just now waking up from a coma, I'd think it was 2006 looking at that lineup.

At best. Bob Boone used to change his lineup all the time. There were several times in 1996 he led off with Offerman/Tom Goodwin/Bip Roberts to get speed at the top. Bip Roberts had 0 home runs that year.

There's a great example. A September game against Seattle. The Mariners had A-Rod/Griffey/Edgar Martinez/Buhner in the middle of their order. The Royals:

Offerman 2B
Goodwin LF
Roberts DH
Hamelin 1B
Nunnally RF
Sweeney C
Damon CF
Lockhart 2B
Stynes 3B

Now that's a lineup. Ned could learn a thing or two.

Something tells me Ned isn't all that concerned with HFA.

Personally, I feel like he should do this shit on the road and not in front of 35,000 fans who paid to see a real team try to win a game.

Probably at least somewhat influenced by every starter under the age of 30 being too hungover to stand. I think Ned looked around last night and thought "let them party". Probably told tonight's starters not to go too far cause they would be playing.

Meh, I think that's lame. They're not actually hung over, and its a 7:00 game. Not trying to be a party pooper for them, but they clinched a division title we knew was coming for a couple months, and there are bigger expectations for this team. I honestly think running this lineup out there is a little insulting to the large crowd that paid to see a decent team. And there is still something else to play for. HFA is something.

Last night was one of the most enjoyable games I've ever had the pleasure to attend.

Watching prospects, raising the division flag, sitting comfortably in my chair not caring about the outcome. The team in the dugout was smiling and happy, like every fan around me.

And then we have the pussies of chief planet.

I guess we're just conceding home field.

Not to mention that should our run fall short in the first series, there will be questions galore about the impact of too much time off and the rhythm being lost.
