View Full Version : Raul Ibanez is lighting it up

Raul Ibanez is on fire. He already had a 3 RBI triple in game one of the double header tonight, he added an RBI double in his first at-bat of the second game. Add that to his 7 RBI game yesterday...pretty impressive stuff. He has over 30 RBI in the last month, and has really caught fire since the first St. Louis series back in early June.

He's a real nice left handed bat to find in the lineup. I forget how they obtained him but I know he came up through the Seattle system. He had a great finish last year and he could very well get 20 HR's and 100 RBI this year and only play in 120-130 games. Baird needs to get a few more nice pickups like this, especially at the pitching end.

I traded him and Derek Lowe for Jim Edmonds and Jim Thome, I got depth at pitching, I ditched him cause I already got Sweeney and Byrd, btw I think I am the only other person that cares about this post.

Nice to Raul heat up. With Sweeney out, he's needed.

My only problem with him, is the same one I have with Beltran.
Neither one is worth a chit until mid-June, when the temp gets above 80.
