What happens when everyone starts adding pics? And it takes for ever to down load a topic? What stops people from posting porno? I'm probably just showing my ignorance of UBB, but...well.....ignorant minds want to know.

I can say this, the picture posting ruined it for me on the Rome BB (well that and all the idgits there =-P).
It seems to slow down the reply time plus push the bulk of the replys to the next page.

It just means it's time to get more bandwidth. Get rid of the 56k and invest in cable modem or DSL... at least isdn.

In September a new 300+k modem will be out. However, it won't be until early 2001 that ISP's will support the modem. You won't have to pay a monthly fee or anything with this, just your regular ISP and phone line.
