Atlanta Falcon reserve and ex-Chief DE Pellom McDaniels is going to miss the entire 2000 season due to blood clots in his lungs.

I remember Pellom as being one of the more classy individuals in the NFL and was sorry to see him go to Atlanta. My thoughts and best wishes go out to him.

I heard the same thing, on the Radio I believe, think it was Gretz's this morning, if not, must have been WHB.

Class act is correct, get well soon!

Thanks Eric.

I hope you didn't think I was questioning your word for it. I just didn't see it on any of the mainstream NFL sites and I was interested in your source.

Understandable, KPhobia.

I heard a tiny blurb on sports radio on the way home and had to search for a reliable source myself.

Are blood clots really this common, or does it just seem that way since three KC players, former and current, have had them recently?

It seems pretty damned strange to me that 3 players associated w/ KC have had blood clots within the last 6 months or so.

I wonder if this condition is more prevelant than we think?

I was disappointed to see Pellom leave KC but I understand that it's a business. My best wishes and prayers go out to Pellom and his family.
