I still believe that the real winner of this election will be the guy that DOESN'T become President.

Good luck to the new President, whoever it turns out to be. Have fun trying to remain respectable when half of the population AND Congress doesn't even regard you as the "real" President.

DoktorSmith

I don't think so. I think that it is pretty apparent that Bush should have the presidency and Gore is just trying recount in hopes that the inaccuracies of a human count will somehow work to his favor. I think the tally now is 68% of the people polled want Gore to concede. He is losing popularity FAST!

Bishop,

Gore's popularity may be fading, but I wonder where Dubya's rating stands right now?

DoktorSmith

I really don't know. They haven't been showing any polls on that. I wonder if they have even been polling for his side? Personally, I have gotten the impression that Gore is the one that is actually looking like the bad guy in this case because he is pushing so hard though.

he is talking right now - talking about wanting another 7 days of time to count these votes. He wants more time and is asking the courts to give it to him. Unreal - when will this end?

Gore is a Sore Loser! This is sad!

DoktorSmith

He kept re-iterrating the "fair and accurate" count. Does anyone else think that hand counts are more inaccurate than computer counts when dealing with that many ballots. Honestly? I think you have a HUGE margin for error.

Baby Lee
11-28-2000, 12:12 PM
He wants to count every single vote in Floriduh in 7 days. Yeah right...

New golf rules being considered.....

A proposed revision to the rules of golf is being sought in South
Florida which will replace the traditional call of "FORE".

Once a player has hit an errant shot he will be allowed to call "GORE"
while the ball is still in flight. He can then replace the ball in the
same spot and hit it again.

The player can do this until he is satisfied the ball is going where he
intended to hit it in the first place. This will cause the time of play
to be extended until such time the player can claim the hole.

This revision is causing some consternation to the PGA but proponents
say it is only fair.

A recent test of this new rule was recently played out in an exclusive
club in Palm Beach County Florida and the first hole only took 19 days
to complete.<BR>

KC Hawke
11-28-2000, 12:46 PM
I voted for Gore . . . don't know if I can use the word 'support' at this moment. I want the man I voted for to win decisively and with the respect of the American People.

I think both should be put in time-out for immature behavior.

I wanted a close race . . . but this is politics at its worst.

For those that want to use that new golf rule....you realize the only way you can implement the rule is to join the Democratic party and swear your allegience to higher taxes.
