Haha G-man,

I was asking a serious question. Shay always has the option to go back to college to finish his degree if he doesn't make it in football.

I was asking if other teams might like him?

08-27-2000, 04:54 PM
Pam - I would be suprised, I don't think anyone is looking at him right now.

08-27-2000, 04:57 PM
If he wants to play, Europe or maybe XFL. I don't think the Chiefs will put him on practice squad.

I gotta disagree, NO SURPRISES at all.
Heck Shaw was a Given, considering he played very little this preseason, Only White was a slight surprise, considering they had an exemption. But glad to see him go

JOhn - IMO, Dishman and Dar Dar were 2 that could have easily made the squad. The rest is pretty much what I predicted.

Dishman cut his own throat....
#1 to many penilties
#2 Burned bad, repeatedly in preseason
#3 after those 2, Nothing to save him from the "youth" movment.

Dar Dar, not really, He was a small reciever, and Gun is on record wanting BIG recievers.

Might try and keep im on PS again, but I doubt it

IMHO,The Chiefs should have KEPT Dishman and CUT Carlton Gray. Warfield could start and Dish is a better nickle than Gray. Maybe Gray's salary had something to do with it. Let the rebuilding begin!

08-27-2000, 05:13 PM
JOhn - They had said that they hoped that Dar Dar would not catch on with any other team so they could get him this year. He might be small, but the boy made some really good plays to get in the endzone.

08-27-2000, 05:14 PM
This pains me to say, but Gray looked alot better than Dish did in preseason. Besides which Dishman has cost us dearly in penilties, and GUN HATES that. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'm not nessacrly saying I agree with gun, heck I liked Dar Dar, but with his penchant for Big WR's it wasn't really surprising is all.

08-27-2000, 05:20 PM
JOhn - The fact that we are down to 4 WR and DarDar looked to be a playmaker is what suprised me. Plus the fact that Parker looked like he hurt himself in the last game, means that our 4 wr set could be dead.

But don't forget that T-Rich and Tony G could line up as WR.

08-27-2000, 05:22 PM
Morph - Wasn't Tony-G in our 4 WR set?

08-27-2000, 05:22 PM
I think Bruce, Mccleary, Kitchings, and Riley may be candidates for the practice squad. I also don't think we are done, there maybe two or three changes in personnel. Young QB, another WR, kicker for Stoyo.

I suggested to you this A.M. that Dishman would be cut. None of the names on this list surprises me. Next, I expect the Chiefs to look at QBs on the waiver wire, and should they find anyone with potential I still would not be surprised to see Moon cut.

Gman - Yes, but we also had a 5 wr set, should have typed that in as well. I know they have talked about moving Hall out to WR, but then we have another short guy out side, which he already said he didn't like.

08-27-2000, 05:27 PM
Milkman - I just didn't see it because of hom many big play's the others were giving up, plus I figured Gray was a lot worse then Dishman, he couldn't even beat him out of his spot.

08-27-2000, 05:29 PM
Morph - Did you REALLY think we were going to use that? http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif

08-27-2000, 05:30 PM
Gman - Maybe once every three months or so. Especially with a weak secondary like the donx on our schedule.

08-27-2000, 06:07 PM
Park had a slight sprain of the ankle, no big deal. As for 5WR set, I'm sure you will see Tony G as part of it.

Also I think they are counting on signing another WR once all the cuts are made.

Dar Dar, was a project, after all year on the practice squad he needed to have a GIG showing in order to make it. That and the fact that he is small. Also any one remember his fumble? he's just not setting up and playing like a VETERAN which he is supposed to be.

Morph that is true. Warfield will either be good this year or fall on his face.
