View Full Version : Enough BS...This Is How U Beat the Colts.....

Manning is a classic pocket passer...and won't run that often...keep that in mind...if he does...kill 'em...
Double Harrison with 2 Deep Zone and under man coverage....that leaves an unproven WR as the 2nd option who Hasty can cover man to man...with ease...
Bush handles Dilger...only after checking off of James...if James goes to flat...that's Lew's man...then roll the strong safety up to cover Dilger or slot...unless KC is in nickle or dime...
Donnie is the key...turn him loose on Manning...only when he's not containing his outside for James...
Patton plays gap and his only focus is James up middle...and to the sides when sending Donnie...
DL MUST have constant pressure...period.
On OFFense...steady diet of T Rich to control clock...even tho we all hate that...it keeps High Octane Trio off of field...
Turnovers....KC wins turnover margin...KC wins....
Did I leave anything out????

Suppose the Colts offensive line blocks all of these Chiefs players that are suppose to keep track of James and Manning?
08-30-2000, 02:56 PM
Of course! It's so simple! After all the Colts players are one dimensional robots.
08-30-2000, 02:58 PM
Croud noise and sweltering heat will have Indy one step behind...
Once KC converts early turnovers...
and provides heapin' helpin' of T Rich...
Indy will be playin' Ketch-up and seein' Red!

One thing you left out and it's really quite simple...we just have to score more points than they do...I don't care if the score is 2 to 0 or 100 to 99...just score more....call me Einstein... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

There's a reason why Gun drafted big, fast, heavy hittin' DB's....
So he can play nickle and dime and still have enough backers to knock snot out of RB's and WR's...
If the Trio comes out of this game in one piece...I'll be very amazed...
08-30-2000, 03:07 PM
Points won't be a problem...
Controlling the clock is number uno...
FWIW...I played Indy vs KC on Madden 2001...
With T Rich as Halfback and ran predominantly up the middle with some halfback tosses to the outside and along with a steady dose of dime coverage of Double wideouts...beat Indy 28 to 10....hmmmm
08-30-2000, 03:18 PM
I beat Indy on Madden 2001 with the Chiefs by pounding it up the gut.
I beat them 27-24, but had the ball for almost 3 full quarters...
08-30-2000, 03:23 PM
htismaque...one thing for certain...Indy can be beat....
BTW...I moved the Def Ends further outside before the snap and had controller on Chester...Pummelled Manning all game...
Try it...it works wonders!
08-30-2000, 03:24 PM
Fat Homer, I'll take your Madden 2001 score...and I actually think it's possible...I predict the Chiefs 24 to 17...I think our D will be up to the Challenge and will shut down the Colts...this is the first time in a long time where we have a legitimate pass rush without using LBs...the blitz will be icing and Manning will be crushed... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/cool.gif
just for you Fat Homer....
BTW...I played Madden 1994 a few years ago with Bono at QB...I won the SB.... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

58Forever....one thing for certain...Indy can be beaten...
KC has to score 22 or more points to do it tho'.....
BTW...Thanks for the Homer gif.....U wouldn't happen to have one with him eatin' a donut would U??? http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

check that one out...evidently TSN thinks we can do it too. They pick Indy to win (who wouldn't) but they did say that KC could pull it out.
08-30-2000, 03:58 PM
How about eating cake?
Or how about 3D Homer?
Feel free to use any of them.
Fat Homer - One thing you did leave out was Pollard, their other TE. I think we're going to have to leave Edwards in coverage (where I think he's most effective). Other than that, your analysis is very good. Wilkins is listed as "out" for the game so that makes our coverage assignments a little bit easier. By no means will we shut Indy out, but hopefully we can eliminate the big play.

Dan..LOL!...Thanks for the pix...I've saved them to classic file...
h m...home opener and HOME game for KC...with electricity of Opening Day for season...plays to KC's favor...regardless of questions 'bout Chiefs....one thing for certain....they'll show up to play...
IF Indy doesn't bring A game...KC wins in a laugher...
I'm gettin' gigged for this game just like last year at Baltimore on a Thursday night...
KC will win...without the points vs the spread....bet the over-under on the over side and you'll be glad U did!
08-30-2000, 04:36 PM
G_Man....I hear U...
The way I C it...double Harrison...put constant "spy" on Edge...and pressure the heck out of Manning...
It CAN BE DONE....and it should be easier at Arrowhead...
I'm expectin' a Colt team to get shaked-rattled-and rolled!
08-30-2000, 06:29 PM
Big boned Homer,
Good take.... I think one of the biggest keys will be how Atkins reacts to the play fakes of Manning... Indy loves to run Harrison right up the seams.... if Atkins gets caught looking into the back field.... see ya!...
"Those who want respect ...... give respect"
08-30-2000, 07:08 PM
Hey-waiianboy...I'm a little concerned 'bout Atkins meself...If he gets schooled once, I'd almost bet Gun goes with Bracey or gives him help via nickel or dime...
08-30-2000, 07:29 PM
Agree with you on a "spy", but I'll go one further: Atkins'/Walker's ONLY job during the game is EJ.
Not that it changes anything much, but remember there's still a chance Wesley could start.
08-30-2000, 07:54 PM
I wouldn't mind if Wesley starts or plays...
Walker is more experienced...for what it's worth...than either Atkins or Wesley...but as long as who ever it is...is layin' on the 'hits'...I don't care...
Colts must go down...and go down hard...(n my best Arnold Swarten??? voice)

Most of all, NO NAVANAX' on Sunday! It's bad enough seeing them on here (lil' daddy, cowpie, etc.)
Going to the game?
08-30-2000, 08:09 PM
LOL! Warrior5....them there NAVARANAX are almost as bad as those Red *** Mocking Eagles....they're almost extinct also...and they would be if it wasn't for their ability to mock the mating rituals of the dominant species they choose to breed with...
I'll be at the game on Sunday...we tailgate directly diagonal to the kcfx fox on the grass...'bout 2 sites up on grass...look for the Colt's helmet with the arrows thru it...
08-30-2000, 08:17 PM
I'll look you up before the game. Tempted to wear boots in case that dreaded species is around. Where are you sitting? My son and I will be in Section 121.
08-30-2000, 08:30 PM
Warrior...Right on!...stop by...we'll have plenty of eats and beverages...including sodie pop for Jr...
We're sittin' 'bout 9 sections to the right of you.
