Milwaukee, Jacksonville and Kansas City boasts the highest percentage of die-hard NFL fans...at 38%, 37% and 33% respectively.

The intersting part..St. Louis, the home of the champoion Rams, came in at 22%
and Oakland didn't even make the top 64 cities polled...

Hmmmm...what does this say about our neighbors to the east?....can you say bandwagon?.... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

If ain't trendy, they ain't interested. The only team that was ever backed in St. Louis is the Baseball Card's (Because of their excellent tradition).

Their football fans are definitely "fair-weathered".

i've had the opportunity to attend games at arrowhead and lambeau...without a doubt two of the best places to be for football and their fans are second to none!!

Green Bay ranked first doesn't surprise me...
and KC ranked third is not a big surprise...Jacksonville at second is a surprise...I thought it would be Dallas..but Dallas was at 27%...

I've had my doubts about the Rams fans... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/tongue.gif

What makes those fans die hards as opposed to just regular fans?

It's nearly impossible to kill them. I think it takes a silver bullet or something.

A silver bullet...I like that...

Instead of you might be a Redneck if...
How about you might be a die hard NFL fan if:..

you have 3 TVs on at the same time with different games on...

you watch every pre and post game show and tape the ones you can't watch...

You rush home at 100 mph running red lights and almost hitting little old ladies so you won't miss the coin toss...

add your own...

When you start to think that you need to find a diff church when the minister starts to run over on time and saying we need to be more dedicated to church and not worry so much about football.

When you postpone your wedding because it conflicts with the schedule of your favorite NFL team....

You tell your wife/girlfriend to get out of the way as she dances in front of the TV wearing her birthday suit...that might be taking it too far.... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Morph...the priest at my church is a Chiefs fan...that helps...

...If you spend all day reading and posting on the CHIEFS BB instead of doing the pile of work sitting on your desk that people are looking for?

... you wake up at 5am on gameday, worrying about wether to take the ball or not if you win the toss.

... You don't like getting together with some of your friends to watch the game because they talk too much and you'll miss a play.

... You visualize the opening offensive series for your team all week as if you were on the team

... Remember when you're feeling very small and insecure how amazingly unlikely is your birth, and pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space, 'coz there's bugger all down here on earth.

Jones - I know exactly how you feel about not getting together with certain groups to watch football, I wouldn't get together with the people from work to watch the SB, because they were bringing their famlies and would get to chatty. Instead went over to a friends house with pizza and all 6 of us just watched the game.

Joe - Without going into many details I have done number 2 on your list, it was the last 2 minutes of the game... SBT.

jeff, at least it didn't turn into the last 2 minutes of your marriage.... http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/eek.gif

...you stop speaking to your best friend or close family member because they made a negative comment about the Chiefs...

Joe - I think she considered football a competition for my attention, which is just silly. I'm sure I'll do something else to upset her more later anyway...

Here's one... Last year, it was finally time to propose to my girlfriend. Without going into too much detail, the way I wanted to do the proposal required that we take a long (6 hours or more) trip on a Sunday afternoon. With this in mind, I sat down with my football schedule and planned the trip for the Chiefs' bye week. October 24th. The proposal went off as planned, and I didn't even have to miss a Chiefs game!!!!

I just started to think abuot yosef driving 6 hrs to ask his girlfriend to become his fiance. He must have been really confident she would say yes, otherwise that would have been a long trip home. Either that or the thought of being left out in the middle of nowhere could be a compelling reason to say "yes".

Morphius
Glad he didn't have to drive that far, but still did an impressive enough job with a microphone and a few hundred people who knew her. Especially thinking of the idea the night before during at a hockey game.

Iowanian,

YOu really have a skewed opinion of "ALL" women. Trust me, we all are not ******* and out to get what we can. Some of us just want to be loved and have a life partner. Too bad the ones we choose, change as soon as we assume their last name!!!
