It could be that Bush actually DID get a bounce of 4-5 points like many of us said he would; and that WOULD put him up by 7-9 points or so.... :hmmm:

No, no, no.....Nah, THAT couldn't be it; I'm sure Frankie, jettio, jAZ, and Duhnese will be along shortly to point out the error in this poll....sample group, methodology, party bias, etc....won't be long....

The media is bent on electing a Republican president.....hmmmm....no, that's not it.

The liberal 527s are being outspent by 527s supporting the Republican candidates....well, that's not right.

The Democratic National Convention featured rising stars of the political world, while the RNC was entirely washed up has-beens from the pre-9/11 political landscape.....wait, that was just the opposite.

The Democratic challenger has a clear message based on his years of experience and leadership in the US Senate.....nope, not this time either.

Gosh....I just can't figure it out. Bush must be ahead because so many people are questioning the patriotism of John Kerry instead of discussing the real issues of this campaign, like his service in Vietnam.

Kerry's going to have one chance at the first debate to change votes...But even then I think whatever gain he makes will be as short-lived as the internals after his convention were...Even the people who want to believe the best in Kerry and the worst in Bush can't stick with the Dem party line...

RL,

Unless my party is TOTALLY brain-dead, it won't be Hillary....

Evan Byah, or some other centrist/DLC figure will be choice; IF they are serious about winning...

Guiliani/Powell in 2008!

I loved Guiliani's speech at the RNC. But doesn't Powells wife
not want him to run for a higher office. It seems like I rememebr hearing something about that a couple of years back.

How abut Guiliani/Dole that would be Mrs. Bob Dole...
She could end up being the first women president someday!!!
Wouldn't that just frost Hillary?

RL,

Who will we see in the 2008 campaign?

Hillary vs _______ from the republicans ?

I think that Bill Frist could be a strong candidate from our side. He's not been in Washington all that long I guess (which is to his credit IMO), but every time I've seen him on TV or read something about him he comes off as someone with huge political potential.

Perhaps Frist and Giuliani?

I don't want to see Powell, especially Powell/Giuliani.

That's a good question... they are indeed all over the map...

Fox News: Bush 47, Kerry 45
Rasmussen: Bush 47.5, Kerry 46.8

Did Drudge do a "FLASH" on either of those polls?
