What's up with the helmet yamaka? They use it like shirts and skins I think. It designates the 1st team D from the 2nd team D or someone who is injured. Something like that. I remember wondering the same thing.

Usually in blocking drills with members of the same squad against each other (offense or defense), it makes it easier to tell the sides apart.

They're called helmet caps. Let's say we're gonna do a 11 on 11 in practice. Since the Chiefs helmet is red, either the offensive or defensive players would wear a yellow helmet cap to identify them either they are the same team or not.
