I don't even want to hear about the refs. The zebras were bad for both sides today.

We lost because we didn't score enough points to win an NFL game on most Sundays.

This was disgusting!!!!!!!!!

Name one call KC got away with. I count six that Tenn got away with. (Four offensive PI's on picks, One VERY suspiciuos PI on Patton and the facemask on Lockett at the end).

Blaming the officiating is a lame excuse.

The Chiefs deserved to lose, and they did.

Thank Stoyo and Kurt for gift-wrapping this one for Tennessee.

Blaming Grbac is an old one. Atleast I'm pointing to an aspect of the game that actually had an affect on the outcome. Go play with Packfan.

How are Stoyo and Kurt NOT directly responsible for this loss?

Go play with Grbac! http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/tongue.gif

The coaching staff deserved all the blame. At least the players showd up to play and didn't quit, but that is not enough. Gun does not bring the total package in terms of coaching. And if he tries any lame "we shoed up to play and I tought we outplayed them but just fell short" crap, I am going to go crazy...

No one to blame but 'ourselves'

Poor play calling, poor execution, mental mistakes. It all comes down to coaching & fundamentals. The philosophy/system is flawed to it's core.

donkhater,

if the Chiefs could've have mustered ONE first down after the fourth down stop, that probably would've been ballgame. But they didn't.

Look in the mirror for the reasons why we lost the football game.

The running game has been a joke so far this season, and it's been because of a lack of talent in our "committee".

Cowardly blaming of the officials aside, the things I saw that cost the game are:

1. The head scratching play calling at the goalline. I loved the call to go for it, but on third down, everyone knew TR was going to get it. How many times has he in the past. It's scary how some guy sitting on his couch in Indiana (me) can predict the play calling of this offense. Elvis successfully bootleged a couple of times today. Play action on first or second down would've scored easily. I equate it to Sean on Survivor saying he's voting in alphebetical order. EVERYONE knew what the four calls would be!!!

2. Donnie Edwards as a down rusher on the last drive. KC was gettin pretty good pressure with the four down lineman up to that point. Why change then?

3. They set this team up perfectly for play-action early on and didn't take advantage of it. No wonder we only rushed for 66 yards. Raye didn't 'throw the ball for 500 yards if they stack 8 guys in the box'. What a joke.

Now you're breaking down some analysis.

We should have kept Pope...

...he did have a 22 yard run today for the bengals...

Sad attempt at humor... sorry...

Bob Dole doesn't think we have a total lack of talent on the committee. the O-Line didn't open up squat in the way of holes, and even Okoye had to have a smidgen of daylight to run over people. Bob Dole lost track of the number of times the RB was hit after his first or second step...

The playcalling cost us the game. We did nothing to keep the defense off-balance. What little we managed in the passing game was due to nice throws and good catches, rather than imaginative play selection.

The Titans were over-pursuing like crazy most of the second half. There should have been at least one Alexander reverse, and probably two.

That's correct Bob Dole.

I would also like to point out that the decision to go for it on 4th and goal should have been made before the 3rd down was played.

That way we could have run a play action pass on 3rd ~ if it's not there, Elvis throws it away and we go for it on 4th.

Actually,

I thought we played really well until the last quarter, then it seemed that we just kinda were there.

What is with williams and all his penalties???

Well I kinda thought we should have kicked the FG at that point in the game but was ok with the decision to go for it. But how about at least one pass play some where in the mix?

But how about at least one pass play some where in the mix?

Perhaps I need to learn to quit being so optimistic... (strange, really... I'm pessimistic when it comes to just about everything but the Chiefs)...

But on that goal line play, I was sitting in the TV Lounge of my dorms saying to myself:

1st down--This would be a perfect time to try a fade to Morris, hope they do it...

2nd down--This would be a perfect time to try a fade to Morris, hope they do it...

3rd down--This would be a perfect time to try a fade to Morris, hope they do it...

4th down--Forget the fade, just split the backs out in receiving patterns and try a screen or something...

Alas! It was run run run...

Anyone else starting to miss Hackett a little... I mean... he was conservative and all, but at least he would have called one pass in there...
