Use this thread to follow the game...Fox Sports Net @11:00 AM. Be here to bask in the glory of a Wildcat victory, or be here to berate my 'Cats if they lose. Either way, i'll be at the game :p ...and it depends on if they win or lose if i'll be back to read this one :D j/k

I think if they stick to their gameplan (Sproles Sproles and more Sproles) with a few 5 yard diny dunk passes, and stay stout on D, they will win this game. My official prediction: KSU 31 FSU 17

Fight you K-State Wildcats, for Alma Mater Fight! (Fight fight fight!)
Glory in the combat for the purple and the white!
Faithful to our colors, we shall ever be...
Fighting ever fighting for a Wildcat Victory! (GO STATE!)

Anybody see Boise State (and their blue field) dismantle the same Oregon St. team last night that should've beat LSU the weak before.

Beware the WAC (or the Big West, or whatever hell conference they're in).

This is ugly. Can't make a stop on D. They've taken Sproles outta the game... Meier is a rook... thier OLine is dominating the KSU DLine...ST teams play by them has been furious...

Give em credit. Fresno is playing a great game. All around.

I'm holding out hope ( a smidge mind you) for a few defensive stops and ST TD and a 4th quarter victory

OK, let's take a look at this for a moment. K-State lost to Fresno State, a program that has been in the top 25 at several points in the last few years. Nebraska lost to an SEC team.

Mizzou lost to freakin' TROY STATE...

ROFL Bad day for K-State...now KSU is being called out at halftime of the Notre Dame game. They're doing a report on how some D-I schools offer credit in "varsity football", basically giving players free credit for playing football. One of the schools they pointed out was K-State, and how last semester 69 guys took "varsity football" as a class and Bill Snyder gave 65 of them A's. They pointed out Florida State, Ohio State, and Iowa as other schools that do this... although they vary in how many credits you get and how many times you can repeat the class.

Actually, Nebraska lost to a Conference USA team. A far, far cry from the SEC.

Why shouldn't they get credit just like any other P.E. class? You mean to tell me " Varsity Football" should not be credited, but hand ball and weight lifting should?

Players should receive credit for playing Intercollegiate Athletics just like any other P.E. class.

Nowhere did I say that I have a problem with it, just NBC is trying to make those schools look bad. I don't think it's necessarily a bad substitute for a PE credit, but it leads to the opportunity to be exploited... (see Georgia's basketball program)

FSU, my Alma Matter, has always gotten up for the big games. You have got to know Fresno, big city in the middle of the Valley. They really want to latch onto a big time conference one of these days.

Another excellent win in our resume.

FSU will be in the top 25 after this win. Southern Miss is not an SEC team, they are a CUSA team IIRC. Troy is a sun belt team.

They will most likely go undefeated this season, or very close. I know they play BSU at Boise..that will be a tough game, but i'm gonna pull for them to go undefeated now.

There is a little state to the west of us called Colorado, that houses a little known placed called Boulder, which is the home of the Buffalos. You may have to contend with them, they are tied right now with Wazzou 3-3.

Gawd this was ugly.

Is Freson State really that talented? This game reminded me a little of how entirely outclassed Arizona was when playing LSU last season.

Frenson States big men just rolled over K-State's on both sides of the ball.

What's the story this year?
UofA has only a Basketball team and Lute is getting old.

Troy State.....member of the Sunbelt Conference....not a top conference, but not Division II-A either...

Members:
Arkansas State
Arkansas-Little Rock
Denver
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
Idaho
Louisiana-Lafayette
Louisiana-Monroe
Middle Tennessee
New Mexico State
New Orleans
North Texas
South Alabama
Troy University
Utah State
Western Kentucky

So while MU's lost to Troy State (AT Troy State) was indicative of the talent that MU truly has...the loss by KSU and Nebraska AT HOME should be just as stinging.....if not then you need to take a step back from the pipe and take off the homer glasses.

Exactly. I'm not sure where Southern Miss stands, but I know Troy is a decent team. I'd say all of the losses stung pretty bad. I'm fairly confident though Fresno State will end up a 1 loss team or better, and they will be ranked in the Top 25 come the end of this week.

Did not mean to "attack you" with my comment, although reading it I can see why you thought I was. Just reacting to other that would object to it. True, it could lead to an exploitation I guess. I think it deserves credits, personally.

Is it a talent thing? Is Fresno doing a Jerry Tark thing in getting great atheletes? Or is K-States OL having a down year talent wise?

Or just a really bad game?
Fresno has had a good program for decades but we never get that much media attention. I mean, we have Stanford, Cal, UCLA, USC to contend with for attention. FSU is located in raisonville USA, not a pleasure destination to be sure, but it is a city of near a million people and they are proud of their football. Clovis, a suburb of Fresno, annually has one or two HS football teams ranked in the top 10 for the State of California.

We have defeated both USC and UCLA in lesser bowl games. We defeated Colorado a couple of years ago. This year Washington and K State.

Yeah, we have a good football program at State.

They hold tickets back for the Student Body at FSU, basically anyone who buys em by a certain time gets em.

The Game on Saturday night was all the rage in Fresno. Everyone wore red to the games, kind of like KC. :thumb:
