View Full Version : Grow a sack Vermeil

I know this was posted already but I'm so pissed about this I have to post it again.

Why the hell, 4th and 1, about 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter with the ball about midfield do you NOT go for it on 4th down considering you have Priest Holmes and you've been running the ball well pretty much all game?????

Why risk putting your defense back on the field, a defense that hasn't shown it can get Denver's offense off the field.

In some ways Vermeil is almost as conservative as Marty.

I do agree. We should have gone for it on that 4th down.

As did the entire bar I was watching the game at.

Yep, me too.

Threw a beer bottle at the TV. Neither broke though.

I hope that's not a bad omen. However, I'm apparently sleeping on the couch tonight.

Vermeil needs to grow a BIG sack. I guess last year didn't prove a thing on defense for him. Same thing this year. 4 and 1 AT DENVER. Go for it. Priest looked incredible. Too bad our defense still sucks and our quarterback and receivers were on two differnt pages

Yep, especially since Priest was running DOWN HILL ALL NIGHT! :banghead:

I was pissed that none of the ESPN clowns picked up on that 4th and 1 decision either.

But with 3 morons in the booth, only 1 brain to go around I guess :shake:
