Am I the only one who doesn't care what Bush or Kerry did durring Vietnam? Whether or not Bush was flying airplanes or Kerry was in Cambodia on Christmas has very little to do with what kind of President each of them would make. This forum is like a race to see who can post the most Drudge/MoveOn headlines. Do you guys not get bored after posting the same damn thing 50 times with random smilies and snide remarks thrown in?

You're right. It doesn't matter. Having said that. Kerry is the one who chose to run on his military service, and hide from his voting record.

This forum is like a rat in a circular maze, you keep seeing the same shit over and over and over. I swear jAZ cut and pastes 90% of his posts.

It really is frustrating. I don't care WTF happened 30 years ago. I care what is going to happen in the next 4. I doubt either candidate will be able to make me happy, but I'm hoping for the best since I have no other choices.

I think that debating the future of the country on documents that use formatting that hasn't been found on any other documents from the place and time in question is pretty stupid.

But I'll keep refuting Jaz's wishful thinking on this subject...and I'll keep having a few laughs doing it...

My interest in the documents is centered more on the lengths to which our supposed independant disciplined and free journalistic community will go to present their worldview as fact.
Not caring what Bush and Kerry did 35 years ago has nothing to do with caring very much what Dan Rather is doing right now.

It's important to illustrate the leftist media presenting lies as fact in an effort to influence public opinion.

Very true!! I refuse to respond to the threads regarding the Vietnam era records. To me they mean nothing. Even though I am a Bush supporter I will not respond to any of Kerry's Vietnam era records.

If everyone were allowed to forge documents and use them for personal or professional gain, it would be pretty hard to prosecute fraud cases. CBS did make money from this story based on forged documents, which should be criminal fraud, imho. If CBS's affiliates lose local advertisers over Rather's use of forged documents, you would think they could pursue a criminal fraud case against CBS News and Rather.

What do you think CBS News would be doing if Brit Hume at Fox News "discovered" a memo dated 18 August 1971 showing that the head of the Soviet KGB was increasing payments to John Kerry because of his work on behalf of Communism?
