View Full Version : Chiefs -9 1/2 vs. Houston -- WHAAAAAAT?

The early Stardust line came out and they listed the Chiefs as 9 1/2-point favorites. I don't know if they think that the betting public is going to be all over KC because they are "due" or something like that but I just don't get this number after the way we played these last two games -- ecsp. the Carolina game. Houston hasn't shown anything either but this line should be less, IMO...

My line is chiefs by 1 1/2 points. Tynes wins it in the final seconds by hitting half a field goal.

BD and KCW's gambling thread should be interesting this week.

That's the ONLY way they get any action on this game this week....it'll come down as the week goes by....probably 6 1/2 or so by Sunday.

This line is actually encouraging. Usually when I see a line that looks this far out of whack it turns out to be much closer than expected. I'm betting there will be a lot of square money on Houston to cover.

No way the line will drop three points in the NFL.

No way the CHIEFS cover.Houston at Arrowhead after a division defeat followed by an embarrassing loss at home? Chiefs are going to run up the score and create a brand new enemy by doing so. They'll cover - and some....

9-1/2 is a lot, but this is a team that lost to Sandy Eggo at home by a touchdown, and by a dozen at Detroit.

All I know is if they manage to lose to Houston, this board will implode.

If we barely win a shootout, I think the board will implode.

After the way we've played the first two weeks, I think a blowout win is the only way to calm some people down.

Chiefs 42, Houston 17. Priest is going to have a field day.

Here's a sentence I never thought I'd type...

I hope you're right, Ugly Duck.

Following the game yesterday, I told my buddies that if next week they were watching football and saw that the Chiefs lost to the Texans to flip over to CNN to catch the live footage of me on a crazed rampage through the Midwest.

Rarely more than 1 point.

We all know Dominick Davis will have a day that will add a couple million dollars to the value of his next contract.

So you will just shrug off a home loss to the Oilers... Uh... I mean the Texans that sends us down to 0-3 and behind the freaking Chargers!?
