Why isn't anyone talking about criminal charges against Democrat Dan, Mary Mapes, Cleland, Burkett, and Heyward?....
We are talking about people who attempted to rig the election of arguably the most powerful position in the world, possibly even treason. I don't see how anyone can believe CBS actually thought they had genuine documents. I think it likely they were hoping the 60 Minutes program would damage the Bush campaign beyond repair before the docs were discovered to be fakes....
I would love to see Rather's 72 year old ass being marched through prison gates in cuffs with W and his dad watching and laughing their asses off....

I think that part of what probably emboldened CBS to try to embarass the President was that little could be done to them from a legal standpoint.
There will be financial implications, hopefully. But I'm not sure who you could charge with what.
It's consolation though, that maybe the public has become more aware of what a joke Rather and network news are through these events, and to what extent the anti-Bush radicals will go to achieve their end.

Rather and Cleland should retire in disgrace. Mapes and Burket should go to prison.
Although I would love to Blather walk his old ass through the prison gates, Burket will take the fall for them all.

Their credibility (waht was there to start with) as a trustworthy news source is gone. It's been damaged beyond repair.

Are you talking about how ironic it is that the Dems tried to steal an election in 2000 with a meritless court case and then get busted trying to rig the next one?...That is pretty ironic....
Bush is the one that stole the election.:banghead: He's the one that went to court to have the 2 most liberal counties in FL recounted.ROFL He's the one that was supressing the miliatry absentee votes.ROFL Heck he's even the one that won every independent recount done later.:cuss: But he stole it.ROFL
Now Kerry has assembled a huge team of lawyers to do recounts "if necessary." :hmmm: This is all to make sure that Bush doesn't steal the election again..ROFL......maybe Im wrong here, but----

First amendment would probably cover them, but the executives could be sued for breaching fiduciary duty by stockholders and affiliates after CBS continued the charade.

CBS credibility as an unbiased news source has been gone for a long time...
It's now being exposed for alot of one sided reporting.

If I were a shareholder I would be absolutely livid. I can't believe they are going to let the same assclowns who caused this mess stay in place. I would be getting a crowd together with clubs and torches if Dan Rather were pissing my money away like that.
