Eric Winston was right. Real question is WHY fans are like that. My take: http://bit.ly/SYhhD1

SMH...Degrading the fanbase and basically calling us stupid by saying we're brainwashed by sports radio & fantasy football & a bunch of other shit and that we're incapable of making up our own minds. What a dipshit.

The Chiefs don't play in Kansas?

Danny Parkins didn't. At least the part I heard today. Said Winston was absolutely correct calling out the fans.

Parkins is an idiot. Nick Wright even came on his show today and ripped Winston.

I work with reeruns like that here in AZ. "Who does Kansas play this weekend?" "Man, Kansas better cut Cassel, he's terrible."

I always correct them and they continue their stupidity the next time we discuss sports again.

I was wearing my KU hat and one of my millions of Chiefs shirts last week at the grocery store and this dude in line in front of me goes, "Did the Chiefs change their colors?" I just laughed and he looked at me weird. There's some dumb mother ****ers in this world.

Ummm...just watched the clip in that article. After the initial cheer for the first down, the cheering decreases significantly. Once everyone realizes Cassel is hurt, it's pretty quiet...relatively anyway with 70,000 people packed in a stadium. People hear what they want to hear, I guess.

Eh, I don't attribute so much to "Dumb", just unaware. And seriously, it IT confusing to anyone that's never been to Kansas City as to why the Chiefs don't play in Kansas. I mean, it says it right there in the name: Kansas City Chiefs.

If the Rams played in St. Louis, Illinois, it would be just as confusing to people.

The irony of these "journalists" who never played in the NFL now taking the players sides and sermonizing about their humanity is laugh out loud funny. Journalists have sold out players and coaches a thousand times worse and more often without giving one thought to their families, children, etc. And all to write the column that gets them promoted or gets more views on the net.

so in romeo's presser he said, when asked why they ran so much, "would you rather lose 40-10?"

he basically said we had no chance of winning if we relied on our QB

Holy ****. This dumbass actually blames video games and fantasy football. That's what's wrong with fans today, according to this ****ing idiot...

Quote:

Let's start with video games. The proliferation of popular video games like the Madden franchise has only served to increase the disconnect that some fans have in terms of realizing that these professional football players are, in fact, human beings themselves. Because everything else in video games like Call of Duty and Grant Theft Auto is make believe and fictitious I think sometimes there are fans that almost forget that the players are real and not just characters in some video game they play.

Then there's fantasy football. Like video games, fantasy football has been a huge boon for the business of the NFL and, in turn, NFL players. Like video games, however, fantasy football has contributed to the propensity of fans who think of and thus treat NFL players like commodities. If you draft and trade and drop players on your fantasy team enough you really do begin to think of them in that way. Ultimately they just become numbers whether that is the jersey they wear or the statistics they generate. The human element is gone.

Someone should ask him why we don't make the f'ing change then? Maybe Pioli has Crennel's hands tied or something? It makes no sense. Any other team would've benched him by now.
