I honestly think the entire NFC just stunk and has for some time now. The NFC North and West are a perfect example of how bad they have gotten. In fact, I can't remember the last time the NFC had more wins than the AFC. I am sure that someone will prove me wrong, but it seems like it has almost been a decade.

No,I thought no such thing, just giving my 2 cents on the subject at hand.

DomerNKC 02-06-2006 11:45 PM

ok, seattle was a better team. i really care less who won. but, being the so called better team and a ticket will allow you to look at the trophy given to the winner of the game.

I think the first key is to fix replay by having a seperate replay official in the booth. Don't make the head ref overturn his own call, or the calls of his crew. Let an "impartial" booth review make the determination. I think there's an issue with guys not wanting to admit they were wrong.

My biggest beef is the number of errors in the play-offs. I've been saying this for weeks. The players elevate their game to a new level, and the refs need to be able to elevate what they do to match the speed and intensity of play-off football.

Of course you don't. That's why you posted about someone negging you twice on this thread already.
OK....suit yourself. I'll again try to make the point that neg repping someone because it's the path of least resistence is pretty weak.

As for reading the whole thread, I have read (and participated in) the whole thread. Something you didn't do before you came in swinging your labia around like Queen Shit.
I believe I said I didn't have time to sift through 6 pages......

I did however read enough to realize that a good chunk of the posts were whining about conspiracies.......

If you had read the debate between htismaqe and I, you would have realized that if I was "attacking" anyone, it was the people whining about "the fix" and conspiracies, refs COSTING Seattle the game........not people like yourself (and myself) who are concerned about the competency of officiating in the league.

I see the bitch fest hasn't come to an end yet. Sound like a couple of women over there.

2005
AFC Wins - 130
NFC Wins - 126

2004
AFC Wins - 140
NFC Wins - 116

2003
AFC Wins - 130
NFC Wins - 126

2002
AFC Wins - 130
NFC Wins - 126

2001
AFC Wins - 128 (With one more team than NFC) Average 8.0 wins per team
NFC Wins - 120 (with one less team than AFC) Average 8.0 wins per team

2000
AFC Wins - 128 (Extra team) Average 8.0
NFC Wins - 120 (Less team) Average 8.0

1999
AFC Wins - 136 (Extra team) Average 8.5
NFC Wins - 112 (Less team) Average 7.5

1998
AFC Wins - 121
NFC Wins - 121

1997
AFC Wins - 121 (one tie)
NFC Wins - 117 (three ties)

1996
AFC Wins - 122
NFC Wins - 118

So even after the course of 11 years, the NFC has yet to gain more wins in a single season over the AFC.

You are right, The better team doesn't always win - even with good officiating.

See Johnny U vs. Joe Namath.

Sorry....didn't mean to piss anyone off.....

I gotta admit though, had my original post come from one of the "regulars", I don't see the thread taking the turn it did. Wouldn't have been an issue.

I'm sure I'll be told shortly that I'm:

a.) wrong

b.) a dumbass

c.) a douchebag

d.) all of the above

No, you're exactly right. If that post had come from one of the regulars, it probably wouldn't have received the response that it did.

There is a difference between a noob throwing out crap like that, and a regular doing it.

Actually, his suggestion is basically the identical system that the Big 10 started and the rest of college football is starting to adopt.

It WORKS, and it doesn't stunt momentum at all.

Wise words from Mecca.

You're new here, you'll get used to it.
