I've written incorrect things in my tenure as a reporter, editor, film reviewer... and I'm proud... PROUD... to say that every one of my mistakes was MY mistake. I've never written something incorrect because a boss told me to and I didn't check it out for myself. It's not a trust thing at all. It's simply the fact that as a journalist you confirm facts before you write something. You cannot do your job if you're writing something simply because your boss told you to. Further, if Nick respects his employees and respects the profession, GOATSE would remain gainfully employed even after he fact-checks. |
All very true, Mr. Fire Me Boy!. But, surely you realize that made up news is far more interesting than real news.
Seriously, and as I mentioned earlier, I'm not certain you can categorize WPI as "journalism" or as a "news outlet". It's a different breed of duck. Kind of a hybrid duck. Maybe a crosseyed duck that flies upside down and lays little green eggs and quacks a lot. FAX |

Yet, I still came up short. It's not just the money. It's mostly Nick. |

So what is the truth is Dorrell coming to KC or Miami?
|
Most of the news/speculation is saying he's going with the fins, Mr. dirk digler. But, who knows?
If he does, it will be a shame. I'll also feel very sorry for Mr. GoChiefs. If Nick was wrong about this one, it's just another nail in the cred coffin. You would think that he would have learned by now. FAX |
From the Charlotte Observer about Miami:
http://www.charlotte.com/panthers/story/452005.html Shortly after accepting his own job, Sparano also was interviewing recently fired UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell for the wide receivers job. It is not yet known if Dorrell is leaning more heavily toward one of the other two jobs he has interviewed for, but both positions could be appealing. Dorrell coached in Denver from 2000-02 as the wide receivers coach, and he also is believed to be very interested in the Kansas City job. APPENDED: From the Miami Herald: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/story/388468.html As the Dolphins continue to await word on several Cowboys defensive assistants about whether they would accept offers to join coach Tony Sparano in Miami, the offensive staff also could soon fill itself out. Former UCLA coach Karl Dorrell is expected to be named the team's wide receivers coach at some point this week, as Dorrell is believed to have chosen Miami over Kansas City. FAX |
Might have already been said...but that would be REDICULOUS if Price was named WR coach (assuming no Dorrell) if we got him to KC with Dick Curl still being our QB coach. It would be like having Bill Cowher as our DC while Herm's the head coach. Why would you have Curl coach te QB's when you have a perfectly good one in the office next door?
Heck...I'd rather have Price divide his time and be both the QB coach AND the WR coach before letting Curl anywhere near the QB's next year. |
Well i hope we can get official confirmatio of Dorrell being hired by someone? I surely hope it is us.
|
FAX, Who needs facts?
|
Watch Price and Dorrell both go to Miami
|
We have discovered what happened. Posting it in a minute.
