These are only a few cases that come to mind immediately. You need to research it yourself if you are truly interested in an answer to your question.

Those are Americans, are they not?

Not by birth or upbringing.

I asked you about Iranians, not Americans of Iranian origin. I'm well aware of what this country offers to those blessed enough to become American.

So, again, what have Iranians living in Iran done for the world over the last 500+ years?

That's a gift I have always underlined for my son who was born here to Iranian born parents. Whereas I consider myself 50-50 Iranian-American culturally he is perhaps 30-70. His (future) kids will be 100% American, I guess. It's a fascinating process to observe, really. But then I'm easily fascinated.

I'm doing some math here. Did you help the Shah load his solid gold toilet on the plane?

So you are disqualifying Iranians who assert themselves when given a chance. That's not a tribute to their culture? When political climate inhibits their ability to make a difference they are scum of the earth. I get it.

No, I'm saying that Americans of many national origins have contributed much to society.

What have Iranians contributed recently? How far back does your excuse of political climate inhibiting their ability to make a difference go back?

I came here before the Shah was deposed. But he had many gold things, but i doubt he had gold toilets. That's actually a Saudi concept. Do your homework my man. :)

(Do I have enough emoticons there for some on this bb to know I'm being silly?)

We seem to be in a circle here. Hopefully we'll get a chance to discuss this face to face. Right now I don't exactly know what you want.

It's quite simple: Americans of Iranian birth aren't Iranians.

You and I have disagreed on this notion before. So let's not go there again. All I say is a light doesn't come on in their heads the minute they get their certificate of citizenship here. They don't instantly get smarter or more talented or less lazy.

Don't waste logic on that dumbass, donger.

Indeed. It seems the smart ones leave and come here.

Don't worry Iowanian. I'm sure there are pretty good Rectal Surgeons in Iowa City who can fix that burning sensation.
