KU is ranked number 13 & 14 in preseason polls. And that is in football.

Did you really just post the 2008 preseason poll? How did that season turn out, anyway?

Which is funny because the football fans at KUsports.com claim Nebraska would never get a recruit from Texas or the KC area since they were shipped to The Big Ten.

Iowa football is solid and doesn't need explained. Top 10 pre-season ranking.
Iowa is an equal partner in the great Big10. KU is a hanger-on in a pissboy division of a two team conference and is doled out a smaller cut than it's master, UT.
KU doesn't have a football program and is therefore irrelevant.

Iowa is more of a powerhouse in wrestling than KU is in hoops, both are pretty much equally relevant in today's college athletics picture.

Now let's quit arguing, college football season is almost here and I can't wait.
How about you?

I'm bored and reading crap that I don't care about and came across this post.

College hoops and wrestling are equally relevant?

In what universe?

Missouri is going to be pretty decent, I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to lose that game.

KU will be fine eventually, Gill was a great hire but they lost alot.

Not if Clete Blakeman's the crew chief. :D

My point is that in college athletics football rules, everything is based on football i.e. confernences, etc.
Everything else be it hoops or grappling is just along for the ride.

I was going to let it slide, it was so pathetic I didn't see the point in adding to his injury.

Oh, look who's back.

Who's on ESPN more, KU or Iowa?

You poor bastard, wanting so badly to believe that college basketball is relevant because it is all that you have.
I guess I'd be a little paranoid too if I just found out my school is an afterthought and the only reason I have a conference is because UT allowed me to remain albeit at a second-tier share of revenues.

Yeah, you've said that about 100 times now. I'm not trying to argue that basketball is more relevant than football. Please answer my question.

What question? Who's on ESPN? I have no idea.
Who cares, it isn't football season.

LMAO

Well, I can answer it for you. KU is on ESPN a lot more than Iowa. Can we agree that ESPN is a business and as such its goal is to make as much money as possible?
