That's too bad you feel that way.

I've always wondered if Athiest fully grasp that it can only go bad for them when this life is over.

Either:

Option A: They're right and we're all dead

Option B: They're wrong have made the biggest mistake possible which they will regret for eternity.

Having said that, somebody shouldn't believe in something simply for the sake of it sounding better. Obviously.

I'm simply pointing out the harsh reality of that stance.

A + B = a well designed trap!

Our service is plain and simple; our fee structure is reasonable.
For $135.00 we will guarantee that should the Rapture occur within ten (10) years of receipt of payment, one pet per residence will be saved. Each additional pet at your residence will be saved for an additional $20.00 fee. A small price to pay for your peace of mind and the health and safety of your four legged and feathered friends.

Unfortunately at this time we are not equipped to accommodate all species and must limit our services to dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and small caged mammals. [Please note: we can now offer rescue services for horses, camels, llamas and donkeys in NH,VT, ID and MT ]
No snakes. Snakes are the debil.

I wish I could believe what you believe but my mind is wired around reason and logic, my man. I was raised a Chrsitian and believed as a child, but then I studied history, science, ethics theories, sociology, etc.

It's not like atheists have a choice.

This.

I wanna believe. I wanna be able to follow the bible blindly with out questioning the book, the religion, or the people preaching it. I wish i didn't have to question whether or not certain religions or people have ulterior motives or whether or not the "good Book" was written partly to control people.

I wanna believe that some powerful force has this great plan for me. I wanna believe that all I have to do is Love god and I'm going to the most perfect place man can dream of.

But I just can't. Not that I haven't tried. But every time I try, Logic and science rear their ugly heads.

Life would be so much simpler if i felt that my only reason for existence was to worship our lord.

Pascal's Wager is a terrible argument. Truth is not decided by picking what's behind door #3 like some game show.

Do you truly think that people should ignore their whole belief system - basically betray everthing that they know - because it will profit them in the afterlife? Are there actually people who do this?

That's not logic and science, my friend. It's SATAN.

Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man, living in the sky who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of 10 things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these 10 things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever till the end of time... But he loves you.

Take religion out of the equation. You can believe in something without believing EVERY SINGLE THING man has told you to believe.

I gotta believe there is something. And a big part of what I believe comes from science and logic, not freakin religion.

Why is it every time Jesus is scheduled to make a visit he wants to blow the place up? Maybe he just wants to bet on a couple horses at Preakness, have some wings and a couple beers then chill out on the deck for awhile.
