There's a reason no one ever throws on him. He'll never have the flash of Flowers because he doesn't get tested nearly as often.

This guy isn't an unknown in NFL scouting circles. Dumbass media and fans may not see it because they're still sucking off clowns like Bailey, but Carr is good and a team is going to pay him well because of it.

Make every effort to sign him.

So @melliger drops this in Twitter Tuesday about Chiefs re-signing Brandon Carr: "I hear he's asking for a LOT

jd1020 12-06-2011 12:13 PM

Let him walk then...

He's played in KC as the #2 CB. If he wants big money he's going to have to go to a team that doesn't have shit at CB.

Guy deserves Jonathan Joseph Money. Same Kind of player IMO. He could probably easily go to many other teams and be the #1 and get paid like it too.

It depends on what they define as "big Money".

Let not forget that KC media is full of MorAns and think Carr doesn't even deserve a roster spot. I'd give Carr a 50m Contract.

i have a feeling he'd want the same if not more than Flowers

will be interesting to see how he plays as a teams #1 CB, because thats the only way he's going to get that kind of money, brought in to be the #1 CB, something he's never done before.

So it could be interesting. he has been one of my favorite players on the Chiefs to watch progress over the years, I wish him the best. I have a feeling if he wants the money he wants he will end up on a shittier team, because most GOOD teams have a good CB 1 and arent going to dump that kind of money into another CB.

I guess he'd look good on the 49ers since I have no idea what they well they are playing? Carlos Rogers? lol. But I doubt they have the money.

I'm really not sure if you're serious or not.

I can't imagine after being around 30 mil under the cap, and one of the bottom feeders in pay the last several years, why anybody would give a s#!t whatsoever in saving Clark $$.

I don't want to hear a thing about a guy costing too much for this cheap organization. Brandon Carr is a very good, young CB in this league. Lock him up.

Yawn. If he's wanting more than a teams #1 when he's the #2... "There's the door."

Carlos Rodgers is having a helluva year in SF right now. SD could use a true #1 CB, as could Oakland. Two teams that know exactly how good Carr is. There are a number of decent teams he could go to.

Isn't he the co-#1 corner on KC? KC doesn't move Flowers around to cover #1 WRs. Flowers stays on left. Carr has faced whoever OC's put against him.

So, you've already stated today you'd let Bowe and Carr go. I've got an idea...the team uses the cap space they saved up to resign guys like this and locks them both up long term.

Yup. We have two #1's. If we can maintain the talent (and continue to develop) we have and add maybe another ILB to replace Belcher (who is just 'OK') we'd have the makings of a sensational D....well...as long as the offense can give them a chance to breath.

I never said I would let Bowe go. I said I would trade him for the chance at a QB.

Bowe will get franchised.

Carr will not.

Still didn't really address the issue I brought up about this team and their spending/cheapness.

So we're not willing to resign to big $$ our own guys.

And we have proven we're not willing to sign bigtime FAs.
