I was with you on Halle. I can even go with the young Geena, who was tall and had Jennifer Garner-ish cheekbones. But Wynona Ryder? Ew.

For those who've never seen it, here's the 32-year-old Geena in "Earth Girls Are Easy". Mmmmm.

T'Pol was my favorite. Seven had a smoking body but agree about the mannish face. Ryan being such a terrible actress also detracted from her hotness.

For one off characters, "Android Andrea" was a favorite. Good episode, too (Rock was badass).

Uber-fail here and on that 26 best list for not including Angelique Pettyjohn from The Gamesters of Triskelion episode. :shake:

By the way, don't Google Image her if you are at work :)

Another interesting bit of Saavik trivia - the character of Valaris in Star Trek VI was supposed to be Saavik, but Roddenberry overruled the director since he didn't want to turn Saavik into a villain. Which I think really ****ing sucked - having Saavik in that role would have been perfect. She would have had a deep-seeded motive to never want peace with the Klingons (being half Romulan + David's death), and betrayal by a long-time crewmember would have been that much worse for Spock. Would have been awesome, especially if Allen would have reprised the role.

Agreed all around. It also would've explained the scene early in the movie with Spock mentoring Saavik a bit more. Valaris comes out of nowhere and makes no sense.

Stupid, stupid decision.

I like the movies just fine. I admire the series for the vision and hope it can give humanity, and I recognize that William Shatner is the greatest damn actor who ever lived. But I just can't do the original series. I've been spoiled by the Borg, Dominion War, and some seriously, seriously fine writing. Some of the best television writing I've ever seen, actually.

I don't know what it is about Kirk's trek. I can handle old stuff just fine. I don't care about 60s production quality. Hell, I love watching those old Lost in Space episodes and Buck Rogers. I... just can't appreciate the episodes the same way I can appreciate stuff from TNG or DS9 (notice how I left Voyager off that list).

I don't blame you one damn bit. If you watch them in reverse order like that, it's hard. Many of the original series episodes seriously, seriously suck.

That said, there are a few good ones that you might want to check out just so you know what people are talking about when they come up, or because they really are good entertainment.

1. Amok Time
2. Mirror Mirror
3. City on the Edge of Forever

If you try those three and aren't interested then STOP -- there is clearly nothing there for you to work with.

TOS had so many hot guest chicks I can't even begin to list them. Here's just a few.

Joan Collins.

I'm assuming, for purposes of this thread, that we're limiting this to Star Fleet crewmembers and not anyone who appeared ona ny Star Trek episode.

Otherwise you've got to deal with Joan Collins, whoever the hot chick is that played Marlena (think that was her name) in Mirror Mirror, and God knows how many smoking hot guests. Andrea Android being a fine example.
