He would have been out by a mile.

Throw would have beat him by 4-5 steps.

I'm watching the gamecast at work - with two outs he should have been running. On a double, he couldn't score from first?

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 07:09 PM

I'd say Frenchy's speed has dropped off just a bit from last year

He may indeed have crapped his pants between 1st and 3rd but once he was there, holding him up was the right call.

I would venture to guess that Myers speed in right would be worth quite a few runs over the course of a year. And his arm is comparable to Frenchy's.

Moose would've scored easily.

I'm at the game and it looked like he had plenty of time to score, but I'm in the seats in left field so I probably don't have the best perspective.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 07:11 PM

Watching the replay, he would have been gunned down.

I just know the Sox did a good job hitting the cutoff and Frenchy was just rounding 3rd as they did. A decent throw would have nailed him. Frenchy is probably just slower than he used to be.

Dunn must have found the roids again

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 07:19 PM

Gonna go through the whole pen again tonight.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 07:24 PM

Another extra's tonight and Ned will have to burn another starter
