I feel shaky in stating this with any authority, given how many people are saying they didn't see anything. But on my TV, the Obscenely Expensive Jeritron 5000, it seems as clear as day that the side of Cassel's helmet smacks into that guy Kruger's helmet.

It's easiest to see in the first replay they show, before they go to commercial.

For that, I appreciate what he's done here. He's not Grbac with a pinky issue.
He hit his head on the ground. It happens and it can KO a sonnabitch.

What he is NOT is a starting caliber NFL quarterback.

The Chiefs will never win a playoff game with #7 under center. Ever.
If his unfortunate injury is what puts Quinn on the field and he shits the bed, then the Chiefs will have no choice but to properly address that position.

If Brady Quinn isn't awesome, I actually hope he shits the bed so bad the chiefs have no choice but to draft a 1st round QB.

I'm tired of supporting a shit team.

if the team or it's management don't like it.....#get over it

That's pretty much how I feel. The only thing is that I can't bring myself to root against the Chiefs. Just can't do it.

I still honestly believe that Matt Cassel faked this injury to get out of the game without looking like a quitter.

If Cassel would've thrown a TD pass, he would've bounced right back up... ran down to the end zone and attempted a shoulder bump, spinning to a 360 degree rotation of failure celebration.

Hammock Parties 10-08-2012 12:22 PM

It was first down and the pass was complete for a first down.

Cassel didn't fake anything.

I finally hit the wall this season. Once you start rooting for losses, it's hard to go back.

I know that I should want Quinn to win out and we go to the playoffs and win a game. But... I just hate Pioli and Crennel now. It would keep their jobs secure.

Cassel is faking the role of being a viable NFL QB.

Only Fat Scott and Clark remained fooled.

Iowanian 10-08-2012 12:38 PM

Noone can question Matt Cassel's toughness. He's proven he has that.

What he doesn't have are an NFL caliber arm or intangible skill set that make him an even serviceable player. HE wasn't even good enough to play in college.

Matt Cassel is tough. He's a decent citizen and I'm sure he'd make a great neighbor....but he's a shit quarterback and probably couldn't carry a Texas High School football team to a championship.

R8RFAN 10-08-2012 12:38 PM

Cassel faked that injury

FloridaMan88 10-08-2012 12:43 PM

Anyone who really cares about the Chiefs should cheer today over Cassel's concussion.

Now we just Fat Scott's arteries to harden at a quicker pace.

So besides having No Heart, No Balls he has a head injury??

Start him again Pioli. Maybe he will extend his NFL record for turnovers??

frankotank 10-08-2012 01:18 PM

if you look at the way Cassel's right hand is moving directly after the hit, I think he was actually knocked unconscious for a second. the way his hand was....like....kinda moving back and forth is imo indicative of a knockout. seen it tons of times in the mma. I don't think he was faking.
Cassels a crappy bastard of a QB.....but he's a tough crappy bastard of a QB.
