No one finds that shit exciting anymore.

Even the Baltimore Ravens have an explosive passing offense.

Low-scoring teams suck dick.

Whatever wins championships is exciting. Period. You can have the highest scoring team in the league be a bummer to watch if their defense is not able to stop one less point than the offense can score. If they aren't winning games they aren't getting to the playoffs and not winning championships.

SKC is exciting even though they don't score many goals. They've shut out their opponent 15 times. That is not an accident. Not only to they have a stellar defense (usually, was MIA on Saturday night) but the goalkeeping has been extraordinary.

The family lost their oil earnings back in the 80s, so sports teams are their major source of income. They have made all decisions based on the Chiefs being profitable. The only way he sells the Chiefs is if someone overpays him for it so that he can branch off into other businesses.

:spock: the Hunt family still make a boat load of money from oil/gas. Chunt is diversifying the family businesses, but they still get a good chunk from that. The Hunts are still big deals in the business world down here in DFW

Schelotto (Crew) is the one that comes to mind in the last few years who were bench material in Argentina and ended up being the MVP. He was one of my favorite players on my team (Boca Juniors) and he was at the end of his playing career. Came here - and just killed it.

Federico Higuain (Real's Bro) is younger (28) and is staring to buck the trend of younger players coming to play here - but all in all - everyones first choice is Europe. Spain - Italy - England - France, etc in that order. (At least in my country).

This is happening less and less and less.

Truth be told, I know there is a portion of an SKC crowd going for the meat market/party element. You see them not paying attention to the game but rather to the crowd. Whatever. If it's known as a place to go and have a good time because you can meet people then so be it...

It's eye candyville.

Different fans enjoy a team or sport for different reasons be it SKC, Chiefs, or Royals.

You are kidding right? At a soccer game, they stand up? Aren't most games ending up 1 to zip?

You seem to be under the impression that the only exciting part of the game is when they score.

How the **** can people watch that shit?

And this is coming from someone who watches plenty of soccer at work...UEFA, Olympic soccer, etc....

It's just not for everyone.

Those were just conference standings. Kansas City is known over all as being just a "good" offensive team but is without a doubt the best defense in the league.

The big high scoring team is in San Jose.

I hope the Cleveland deal got him to think about selling.

1 Billion is a LOT of money.

Was there. Saw it live (between not being able to look) and have seen it a hundred times since. It still gives me goosebumps. What an amazing night. My 16 year old was so excited. He didn't see the last KU championship because it ended past his bed time and they were losing when he went to bed. He had never seen any KC team win anything. To him it was Superbowl/World Series like excitement. That was the absolute best part of winning the US Open Cup. Seeing young people so happy to see someone win something in this freakin loser town.
