Smith was just along for that ride.

And Manning carried his team with no talent on offense or defense?

Interesting.

Interesting.

Peyton Manning threw for 37 TDs and 4700 yards.

A team that had basically no passing offense the year prior.

You are being obtuse, homer.

i cant wait for the chiefs to finally bust out with some 5 yard dump offs and 9 yard TE flares , FINALLY we will have an elite short range passer to accomplish this massive task

Wait a minute, I was told this past season was the best team Manning has ever played on. And he had played on a team that won a Super Bowl and another that would've gone 16-0 if they hadn't rested their starters. Now I'm confused.

For a guy who claims to watch a ton of 49er games, you sure do spout a lot of bullshit in regards to them........who did Alex Smith target the most last year???

Answer, because you are simple.

Michael Crabtree.

It might of been his best overall team when you factor in the defense. His offenses with James, Wayne, Harrison, Pollard, Clark, those were far superior offensively.

SHUT UP! You're DONE deep throating Chiefs hires from the Philadelphia tree. YOU HEAR ME. We will not endure five years of Andy Reid blowjobs from you after the Vermeil Incident.

I am far from stupid Hamas. I know Manning is a far superior QB than Alex Smith, I am just tired of the ridiculousness that is the Manning love fest and the Alex Smith hate fest.

You dont think Smith's negatives have been greatly exaggerated simply because he is not what people wanted?

I would rather draft Geno myself but you dont think people aren't finding every negative they can and magnifying it because they wanted Geno.

Go back to the 2011 season game threads and see who here thought Alex Smith sucked. There may have been a few but most people thought he was far superior to anything we have and now that we have him, well he is no better than Cassel. ****ing Clay had a thread dedicated to sucking Alex Smith's dick.

Yea I am stupid, that's the issue at hand. If I am stupid many of the people here should be dead from inability to rember to breath.

Way to avoid my point. But that said I think Reid has gotten the best out of the QB's he has had. Which may not be saying much but it's something. It's concerning how he's never had success without Jim Johnson though. We will see.

I'll say this much, if DV had coached the last 6 years we may have never gotten younger, but we sure wouldn't have had this Sunday buffet of human feces at the QB position.

Without going into too much detail, the "League" views the Chiefs as a real playoff threat this season and the consensus is that the Alex Smith move was genius, especially when coupled with Reid. The "League" has also been extremely impressed with their moves in free agency.

I was also told that the Bills have no interest in Smith, have targeted Nassib and will take him with their second round pick, so eliminate him from contention. If there's an unlikely run on QB's, they'll be more than happy to trade up into the late first round and grab him.

Take it for what it's worth. It's not "Bible" but it was interesting and I appreciated the input, especially since we're so close to the draft.

Again, FWIW.

This relies on the assumption that Alex Smith will be able to start all 16 games and stay healthy... a significant question mark considering he's been able to stay healthy an entire season only twice during his 8 year career so far.

I know A LOT were sucking off Alex Smith when they beat the Saints in that play off game.

Will laugh extremely hard if the Jets snag him.
