NO WALKSThe Royals had 13 hits todayNO WALKSbut only scored 3 runs. I wonderNO WALKSwhy.

My guess is going to be Wainwright is #1 in baseball with fewest walks given up.

He didn't allow a singe walk through his first 5 starts or something like that.

That doesn't have anything to do with it. The Royals never let ANYONE walk them.

As Rany pointed out:

Yes people, Wainwright had only only walked 6 all year. Shields had only walked 15 - and the Cards coaxed 5 out of him. Patience is a skill.

While I disagree one has nothing to do with the other, it sounds like a horrible match up.

Shields is no slouch yet the Cards got 5 walks out of him today

Literally one thing has NOTHING to do with the other. The Royals batters HATE being walked and they swing at ball 2 and ball 3 at least 90% of the time.

Wainwright hasn't pitched against the Royals all year yet he leads MLB in fewest walks by a starting pitcher but Wainwright has no control over the fact no one was walked in this game?

**** if anything he gave up 12 hits because he won't ****ing walk anyone.

gblowfish 05-27-2013 04:36 PM

Nobody takes the gas pipe like YOUR Kansas City Royals.

The Royals are a free-swinging bunch, but they make up for it by having zero power.

Today had nothing to do with your pitcher. Literally almost any pitcher would have positive results against Fluffers Row, which Dayton ****ing Moore assembled.

GloryDayz 05-27-2013 04:40 PM

LOL

Yea I get it. Why walk a guy when worst case is a single and best case is an out.

Absolutely. It would take Scott Pioli himself to **** up an approach that would beat the Royals.

I had crown seats today. Yadir Molina is a Hall of Fame catcher. The Cards are just a great franchise. The Royals however aren't good. All Red out there today.
