If the Royals are good enough to be a playoff team, they will make it. Keep winning games and the rest will take care of itself.

We play them both a ton the rest of the way.

Okay. Billy Butler is in the same boat as Chris Getz and Elliott Johnson.

Butler's rankings on the Royals this year:

Hits: 3rd
Doubles: 1st (even though he supposedly only hits singles)
Home Runs: 3rd
RBI: 2nd (even though he supposedly only hits singles with the bases empty)
Walks: 1st (by far)
OBP: 1st (by far)
Slugging: 3rd
OPS: 1st

So, he's in the top 3 on the Royals in basically every offensive category, but he's your least favorite player, and he's in the same boat as two of the worst players in the major leagues?

Yep. Either Boston and Tampa has essentially locked up a spot and the other will win the division. That leaves one spot for Cleveland, Texas, NYY, Baltimore, and KC.
