I know the NFL is about matchups and "any given Sunday" but I think the 49ers were allowing something like 80 rushing YPG before we played them and if Reid didn't go full reerun we possibly could have crossed 200 against them.

The Broncos also have, as of now, the best run defense in the league only allowing 72 YPG and Knile had over 100 himself.

Ogletree is athletic but he's a converted safety and a bit of a pussy in run support. I don't even know who their SLB is so **** him, he's going to get railed. Safeties aren't all that good..

We should absolutely fist these guys on the ground. Anything less than 200 on the ground alone would be considered a failure for me.

Dunbar's the SLB. He gets subbed out on nickel passages with Laurinaitis and Ogletree being the 2 LBs. Dunbar's a liability in pass coverage, but a good run stuffer.

Now please tell me how the Chiefs upfront will stop Mason/Stacy/Cunningham.

If I am correct, and I may not be, there's only been 2 players who have ran for 100+ yards vs the Rams(Murray and Wilson). The interior of the DL, specifically Brockers and Donald, have been fine for the most part. And it was Ogletree who lost contain on Wilson.

Smith is no Wilson. He can move out of the pocket when need be, sure, but he won't gash the Rams like Wilson did.

Passing wise, as I said before, the Rams have been fine for the most part. I'd be concerned if Roberson starts over Jenkins due to Jenkins being questionable with an illness, but no one on the outside for the Chiefs seems like they'll be able to burn the Rams DBs.

We don't burn DBs, really. We run quick, short routes with lots of TE work thrown in.

Is Jenkins playing? How're you feeling about that?

We won't.

Mason will have his first 100 yard game of his career.

I don't think the Chiefs do. I don't think we give two shits about Stacy, but Mason will be trouble. Cunningham looks pretty strong, too.

Mason and Cook/Kendricks are really the only players worth worrying about if my amateur opinion meant anything. The Rams offense isn't terribly different from ours.

Saffold is hurting, though, is he not? That could be big.

Mason should have run for 100 on the Seahawks.

Guy is a smart, tough runner.

I think it's 50-50 he plays. Supposedly, he contracted some illness this week. We'll see.

Saffold's good to go. Both he and Fisher said he could have gone back in last week if they needed him.

Yeah.

I just really don't see how we don't run on the Rams.

Nothing against the Rams, but we run on everybody.

So it WOULD be Gaines and Roberson, then, should he not play.

Who's your NCB?

Edit: Didn't he suffer some nasty knee injury against the Seahawks? I seem to remember him being hauled off and crying.

Oh.

Sucks you guys decided to roll with Robinson. You guys look much better on the ground with him on the line.

Correct.

NCB is Joyner.

Yeah, Jenkins missed a few plays last week on that. But he came back in. If he doesn't play, it's unrelated to that injury.

Joyner. I remember being impressed with him at Florida State.

How's he fitting on the field? He's a 2nd year player, correct?
